Middleport was a great town to grow up in. I graduated from Royalton Hartland Jr/Sr High and contiue to live in the area. A lot of people don't know where Middleport is on the map, but that is what I like about it. We are not overcrowded and there is a great country feeling.
Some of you noted: What is there to do in Middleport? That's the point: We don't have malls, bowling alleys, arcades, etc. And we were not voted best place to raise your kids based on that. You will find Middleport residence spending time with their kids and attending school events. That is what we do!:)

Clarence Center, Friendship, Middleport, etc. Did the editor of BusinessWeek buy some real estate there a few years back and now wants to recoup some losses?

We need more people like that to raise their kids the way we were raised in a small town community where their parents know where they are and what they are doing.

Don't assume that the parents know what there kids are up to, because most don't.I bet Officer slick is still harrassing the local high school students driving home from school

Why is it that you refuse to proofread your articles? Chicago, as a city name and proper noun, should be capitalized. Most 1st graders understand this rule, as I'm sure most of your staff do. The problem is not that you don't know or understand the basic principles of English grammar, it is that you fail to proofread carefully. Again, I'm disappointed.

Friendship is located in Allegany Co. It is a dead end village with little job opportunity and a school system that is on the ropes. Lots of shack like houses.I wouldnt live there if you paid me.The committee which created this list has to be nuts.Go visit and reply. It is about 2 hours from Buffalo, located near the Pennsylvania border.

Middleport along with Gasport is all about peace and quiet, being involved in the community events and you can actually leave the door unlock and not getting worried about what will happen when Buffalo is the opposite and of course breathing in polluted air. I've lived in the city before thinking country living with nothing to do is the dump, boy I was wrong! Now being a mom, anywhere outside the city should be a place to raise our childrens.

Some of you people are whacked! I shouldn't even be wasting my time writing this, but I couldn't sleep. First of all, I wholeheartedly agree with Annoyed Reader...read over your comments before you hit the "post" button. How did some of you get out of high school? Maybe you just don't care. Hopefully M the Engineer will stay where he is because I'm sure the residents of the three towns don't want him anyway. Incidentally, Clarence Center is in Erie Cty and Friendship is in Allegany Cty, so instead of writing stupid comments on the web, why don't you get a map out and study it. You might even learn something, but it probably won't stay between your ears. I can't comment on Middleport, but Clarence Center is a nice little village that has maintained it quaintness over the years. Friendship is pretty much a hick town, but not everybody can live in Spaulding Lake, nor would I want to. It just depends on what you like or want. And, J from Kaisertown sounds a bit eccentric, but he does have some good points. He just got a little off the subject and carried away. I wonder what criteria was used.
