Earthquake in Buffalo

“I was fast asleep and my husband woke me up and said he heard he felt the bed shaking and heard rattling but we weren't really sure what it was.”

An earthquake struck parts of the area early this morning. Mother nature's wrath is not limited to heavy snowfall. via WIVB-TV Buffalo

I totally felt it to. I was getting ready for work and my house shook hard. I thought it was some kind of explosion. I wonder when the next one will happen.

Sorry to hear about the earthquake that happened, but am I the only one who remembers the little earthquake that occurred in 2000, in West Seneca? I remember it fondly... I was getting ready for work, and it knocked me down to the floor.

I know it was a tiny one, but still deserved some honorable mention!

wow so it was a earthquake,weird i felt it but thought the wind had really picked up to give the house a little shake,i was talking to my son and had asked him "did you feel that?"he thought the wind also.

I seem to remember one in 2001... I was taking a nap on the couch and I woke up shaking. I fell right back asleep but watched it on the news later that one had occurred. I'd challenge the reference in this story that points back to 1995...

In 01 or so ...I felt the one in the AM...6 or 7 if I recall...the windows and dresser shook and my Parrot was so rattled she fell off her perch....hehe..poor thing!...
