Weddings are between a man and woman in Christian marriage in a House of God. It is being mocked by Satan;s suggestions to women to dress (if at all nowadays) in a provocative way rather than a modest and proper way to enter a church. That is not what marriage is about: it is not selfish as to draw such attention to one's self, or to set an indecent example to young ones attending, it is a joining of two lives in humility under God's Blessing. Is that how we will dress when we meet Jesus for Judgement when we die? If we truly believe as Christians, then we would not dress or act this way.

The Diocese of Buffalo SHOULD comment but they cannot because they have neither a dress code or the interest. We truly need it. As a former organost in The Diocese and church musician for 33 years, I have had discussions with parish priests who refused to say anything to the Brides or the families. They (in general) did not think it was a problem. Hence, the worldly mentality.

If people do not get married in church because of it, they have not been taught well by our priests and parents. Unacceptable in front of Christ, His Blessed Mother and a priest, not mention small children. Brides, please enter God's House in humility and modesty. God Bless you.

Get over the holier than everyone attitude already. I always thought that God did not judge people for any reason, least of all what they were wearing. What gives you the right to judge?

I for one agree with the organist. Any bride that would wear such an outfit shows that she has no respect for herself or her husband to be. We judge everything by sex. That's a sad statement. I've come to the conclusion that today's society judges a person's value on their sex appeal. There is nothing wrong with placing value on a person's mind, how they treat others, and their contributions. The first thing that comes to mind when I see a label "sexiest whatever" is that they have nothing going for themselves but their body and down the road what's going to happen to their self-worth?

If god wanted you to wear clothes...you would be dressed at birth! Man instilled modesty on woman.

What it is, unfortunately, is the whole Paris-Lindsay-Britney thing going on. My parents have been married for fifty years, and my mother looked a million times prettier for her wedding. Same goes for my two sisters and two sisters-in-law. This is a horrible message we are sending to young girls.

The reason for a wedding gown is to be beautiful and attractive for your husband to be. How does LatinMass know we are clothed in a modest way when we are presented to the Lord? We came into this world buck naked, we may well leave it the same way.

I agree. The young girls nowadays have absolutely no respect for themselves. They are real cheap tricks--the men don't have to earn it anymore its just given away for free. Maybe if our society stopped sexualizing our daughters the second they learn to walk and Mother's would bother to teach their daughters how to respect themselves then maybe decency will come back into the American way of life.
But until the next deadly STD comes around and starts killing off these little sluts then I supppose there is nothing else to do. There is still no cure for AIDS but all these young women think about is selling there sex cheap.

Isn't it sweet our upcoming next generation of scumbag "swingers" is getting married to cheat on each other and spread disease.

Makes me wonder if these little sluts have any respect for their parents and other elders attending their wedding.

I like those tales about the bride disappearing, later to be found doing the best man in the parking lot..
