Did your issue yesterday have those two repulsive pictures right in the middle at the top of the front page? That caused me to throw the paper down and not read it so maybe that person cannot get past the front page to see the real news.

all I'm saying is if I want news from around the US, I'll watch TV. Tired of the stories that have nothing to do with Claremore. And where did they get the sports writer. I miss Lester.

Plenty of what in the paper? If you kiss the editor's butt....no problem getting into print. But if you have anything the slightest bit controversial, forget that! What people need to remember is the Progress is purely a political newspaper. You don't agree with their politics...you don't get coverage. It's always been that way.

Did you notice they no longer let you comment on stories? I guess they were getting too many bad comments on how many mistakes they make. Go through the paper and circle the mistakes, you might need two pens. It's horrible. And half of their paper is associated press stories and cartoons and junk. If I want to know what is really going on here, I'll read the (gulp) World.

Actually they took their comments section down when a Rogers County foster parent repeated what was said in a sealed juvenile hearing. Our Judge ordered the forum thread removed. The Claremore Regress just removed all their forums. It is also interesting that We have sued two major entities in Claremore, OKDHS and Safenet, yet no story on it in the Progress. Yet, the Progress prints the Legates/Woodson story with leaked sealed federal case information OKDHS leaked the info and is facing sanctrions and possible contempt of court. Way to go Claremore Progress!

When Mr Hobbs ran the sports at the Progress....only his buds at Legion Field, Sequoyah and Oologah got ink. The progress now prints stuff about things Mr Hobbs thought should never get in...photos of kids playing football, youth sports...stuff hobbs thought was stupid. Glad hobbs is off to the old sports home....

The Regress can only print what the corrupt political machine tells them to print so if you want your name in the paper, join the corrupt political machine. It must be awful to have to live your life in such constricting conditions. That must be why they have such a low level of personnel down there.

Has Mr Cowling become so disgusted with the corruption in Rogers County, as the rest of us are, that he is moving his paper to Owasso? Tulsa County?

Doesn't even really write anything in the Claremore Progress anymore. But I saw an "Owasso Progress" at a business on HW 20 and his name was all over that.

I hear you. Try living in Verdigris and get anything written about your town or teams. We are left out. Now I know why, it must be we are getting squat because they are all working at owasso. We all deserve better.

What is with this Attorney Jack Gordon every day? And who reads that crap? Is it better than reading about your football team?

Isn't Jack Gordon the one that the red headed lady at the Grand Jury meetings said screwed over her son?

It has a chance to be, but they haven't even updated their website for five days. No new stories, no football games, not even anything about Claremore making it to the playoffs. Editor Cowling writes a ton of stuff for the Owasso paper but nothing for the Claremore paper. Do they have allegience to Claremore or are they going for the money in Owasso? Plus they hired a guy that used to write sports for the tulsa world to work on the owasso paper and we get Bill garrett who has no experience? that tells me where their priorities are.

The following is more of "the best of Bill Garrett'

"COLLINSVILLE-With the ground game shut down and only a first half field goal to show for it."

that was his opening line of the story

and another doozie

"Waiting till the second half to spring his trap on the Mustang’s first possession of the third quarter."

that is supposed to be a complete sentence?
We want and deserve better from a so-called sports editor.
