Agree...VERIZON does SUCK big time, have had to many bad experiences with them.

I hope you have better luck with Cavalier than I did. My dad died on a Friday and the bill cutoff date was that Monday. I paid the bill at Farm Fresh where they give you a confirmation number. I was in the middle of making funeral arrangements and forgot to call the number in and the phone was cut off. When I called to explain the situation, the rep told me that the phone would remain off until I sent them a copy of my dad's death certificate, even though they acknowledged the bill had been paid. I spent the next 4 days running around making arrangements, talking to and getting calls from relatives, and planning everything through my neigbors phone (no, I didn't have a cell phone then). When I switched to Verizon, Cavalier held up releasing the lines, so my mom didn't get service for almost 2 weeks. And, to put the icing on the cake, Cavalier is still sending my dad, who died in 2003, a bill for 35 cents. The only way they will collect that fricking 35 cents is if he pays it in person.

Verzion has sent me ads for everything from FIOS TV to internet service. I have been honored with this crap every month for somthing like the last 2 Years without a let up. When I called and told them I was tired of getting this mess,they told me they would stop sending it to me within a month. THAT WAS SIX MONTHS AGO, Now when i pull that stuff from the mail box, I turn around and rip it UP and drop it into the recycle bin. I am sure they are getting a tax break for waisting paper and annoying people. From what I have read here,I will never let them sell me ANYTHING.....

One aspect of Verizon service has to do with the ease with which they betrayed their customers and provided any and all confidential information to the government when it was requested (in exchange for money).

I consider this to be an aspect of customer service.

Do not expect it to get any better either they went way over budject preparing for the strike that almost happened and they still have to pay ivan his 23 million a year.
