I had the same treatment (not the photograph thought) from pain relief center in conover. I moved up from florida where i have extensive records that i NEVER called in for refills and ALWAYS had extra meds on my visit and I am being cut short on my meds every month from PRC. I have enough medical issues without the shock to my system every month of not having my pain managed. Are there any good Pain doctord here that treat you with respect?

I think the docs at Unifour Pain Treatment Center are great! They have helped me immensely. In this day and age of identity fraud, prescription drug abuse, and selling of narcotics ALL pain clinics have strict regulations regarding prescriptions and monitoring of patients. Stay off narcotics if you dont want drug screens or comply by the docs rules and be pain free, bottom line. I doubt you were singled out, they have to do the same to everyone. Im sure you were drug tested in the military? No biggie if you have nothing to hide.

Not sure about this area, but I had a great pain management doctor in Morehead City, NC before I was discharged from the military. The name of that clinic was Carteret Pain Medicine. I am almost ashamed to amdit but I know longer have a doctor in NC. I go to FL for my pain management appointments. It was a personal decision of mine and my wife supports me 100%.

Yes I was drug tested in the Marines and no I dont have nothing to hide. It's just the feeling that I recieved from the clinic when I was there. I have no problem with urinalysis; its just the way they treated me in the process.

I think the folks at unifour were great! Very professional from the start, I feel they are compotent and look out for patients with chronic pain like me. They cautioned me about the risks of pain pills and were able to get me off all the drugs others had addicted me to. I feel safe that they take my picture so no one can just come on a pick up my medication without having a photo ID or claims to be me. The urine tests help confirm that I am taking my drugs as they ask. Thanks to all the great nurses and Dr. Brown. She's the BEST!

There is other pain clinics here in NC that will treat you with the respect you deserve, these drs at Unifour think you should give them respect where as I have not had any in the almost 7 yrs all together that I have been there, use to drug test me once a month charged my ins.900 bucks and when the one dr I usually see left for a foreign country where his million dollar home is, for 2 yrs i was with a Pac she was and is a wonderful lady, NOT ONCE i meant not one did they drug test me. Last April i fell and broke my right leg and knocked the ankle bone out the inner side of my foot, required surgery with steel plates and screws. I got 3 prescriptions besides what he was giving me just to control the foot pain, he came in next visit after those 3 months going off on me very mean to me, told me i could have Oxycontin or Percocet one which i replied neither, he did not recall giving them to me himself and why i needed a little extra. As of this month I'm out of there and moving onto another pain clinic who I have heard very good things about.

I go to The Pain Center of Denver. They are a small practice that takes time with you. They are compassionate too. They do ask for ID but that is okay with me. They also do urine screens, but so does everyone else. The big thing is that don't treat you like an addict. They are fair unless you give them a reason not to be.
If you want to be treated like a person call them. They are great!

Fortunately, there are many ways to treat pain. Treatment varies depending on the cause of pain. Pain relievers, acupuncture and sometimes surgery are used. So many center are created.

A year ago theis past June I had Bilateral Compartmental Syndrome which took 100 staples in each leg and severe nerve damage. I have tried everything from physical therapy to pain killers and am still unable to walk unassisted when told by surgeon would be walking in two weeks. I am at wits end. Severe pain has become a large part of my life. I am 49 , lost my job as a school teacher and spend my life in my home. Can anyone out there tell me if they can send a man to the moon why can't they aleviate such pain without such mindaltering addictions that people like me can just survive. My pain is in my lower legs not my head!

you hear so many times about these pain killers being sold on the black market, so it's no wonder they have to keep a check on them. hate that you're in pain and hate what you have to go thru to get your meds, but it gets abused and they have to keep a check on it. i know of, and have heard of many people who get their meds, sell them, buy them, and abuse them, when they're in no pain whatsoever.

its called surgery-- look it up on the internet!! i was told to live with pain and eat 800 mg of Ibuprofen 3xs a day by a couple of quack drs in hickory 23 yrs after back surgery and still going strong-- great neruo-surgeon & not a orthopedic dr/surgeon-- they are great if you break a leg or arm - but this is the central nervous system- if you want rods and pins in your back and still be in pain go see a orthopedic dr-- im living proof that back surgery works for ruptured and slipped dics

I have had problems with this group for awhile. Going without meds due to office errors. Try to actually talk to someone that can help - probably not going to happen. Arrive for injections & someone different is doing the procedure. Looking for a new pain management center. These are just a few of problems with these folks.

Why do the Doctor look in your nose, I hear that is how junkies get high, or look at the arms for track marks. That would get the people who need help out. Do they not care. just my thought.

Its like this, if your whinning about not getting your pain meds then you are most likely just after the the pain meds ie...(pill head). If you are really in pain find a doctor that will treat the cause of the pain, not just medicate and cover up the real problem. Simple enough.
