Cucamonga School District's Superintendent and both Asst. Superintendents get lifetime benefits. How do you like that? Meanwhile, the teachers and classified employees are paying out of pocket for benefits! Even the former Superintendent is enjoying lifetime benefits.

If you are speaking of the Waco Seige, the Waco Siege began on February 28, 1993. Bill Clinton, NOT Bush, was the president during that time. G. W. Bush didn't become President until 2001 You should read a little more and listen to your DEMONcrat demagogues a little less.
no referece to waco texas.Bush is a waco just like you scumnservatives that think you are always right.Waco Bush was good at using his fake moral value while screwing you guys, without even giving you a reach around.Obama it still is up in the air because his term is not up and so far has shown nothing that impresses me.

Amen brother.
I and millions of other people don't give a hoot. These liberals voted for their messiah Obammie, now they can live with it. Every sector of industry is now faced with higher insurance costs because of him. My company has seen higher costs, we will pay, and so will the customers for a little while, then they will just go away and so will alot of small operations. It will then grow like a "runaway snowball". More and more businesses will go out, etc. etc. Prepare yourselves !

Waco is a city in Texas stupid!*!*!

I guess you don't read newspapers or listen to the news, but I'm going to take a chance that you are smart enough to click a mouse button, I hope I'm not overreaching here.

Obama's dismal performance is, now, a foregone conclusion and not "up in the air", as you put it. If you're feeling really smart tonight, click the link below. Don't worry, it shouldn't move around.

We don't like paying their benefits anymore than yours. Both are out of line and unsustainable. There will be a reset coming.

For years I have seen my sister getting paid less as a chemistry teacher than she could have earned in the private sector. She said she knew she wouldn't retire rich but at least she would always have a job and some benefits offered. Many of her colleagues said the same and now they are all getting hit with furloughs, benefit cuts and downsizing (class size increases). So they make less than everyone else when times are good and are expected to give up the security of their contracts when times are bad?
We are consistently telling young people that there is no longer any benefit to going into teaching. All we need to do now is wait a few years to see what quality of people we can get to teach. When there is never any upside is it any surprise that the turnover rate for teachers is growing? We will reap what we sow. Times won't always be bad, but if there is no more faith in the contracts how will we attract good people in the future?

I have my facts right, it is you who are wallowing in the swamp of your misconceptions and ignorance. My premiums only went up at a rate of about 1% per year until Obamacare arrived. Now my insurer just announced that it will be rising by 9%- IMMEDIATELY.
The Democrats really gave the Health Insurance Companies love on Obamacare - 30 Million new customers. You might ask yourself what the Democrats got in return for all of the business they sent to the health insurance companies, but you probably won't.
Your denial of the problem will do nothing to solve it.
Yup, you said it amigo.

Wow! We've got some bitter malcontents on here don't we? Obama inherited a "shit sandwich" and it won't be resolved for years to come. Do you hear that peeps? For YEARS! Capt. America you do have your facts straight. Unfortunately, your Republican bias flaws your credibility. As for the teachers, they deserve free health care for putting up with all your spoiled brats. Teaching is a gift. Not everyone has the talent or the patience to teach. They deserve the free health care just by virtue of the years and years of low pay.

The way Obama is going about it, your " **** sandwich" is rapidly turning into a " **** roast" with all the, very expensive, trimmings. Most reasonable people are getting tired of blaming Bush. When, if ever, will you come around and stop being another one of the bitter malcontents that you assail?

I deserve free health care, food, rent, cars, yacht, etc., however, I don't think I'll be getting those things anytime soon so I won't waste my time complaining about it.

That's the best argument you can mount? I guess you got whipped pretty bad.

Consider this to be a "teaching moment" and, even though you're a liberal/progressive, you MAY be able to learn from it.

It is folks like Maui Mama whose thought processes (or lack thereof) are driving productive people out of the State of California. While I now live in "Lake Whatever, VT" (as she puts it), I retired from California. Why did I bail out? Because of people like her and her brethren liberal ideologues who, for many decades, have promised to take care of business, not only with regards to her Claremont teachers, but throughout California as well.

Maui Mama and those of her ilk have certainly taken care of business, haven't they. California running annual 19+ billion dollar deficits EVERY year, Bell, CA (and other cities as it turns out) paying exorbitant salaries for city administrators, Los Angeles receiving 111 Million dollars in stimulus funds which only saved and/or created 55 jobs and, all the while, people with any money and sense are continuing the exodus from California in record numbers.

It is refreshing to see folks like you, "not PC", who support a two sided discussion in this travesty. The only way in which liberals and progressives like "Maui Mama" can make her point in these forums is by silencing opposing viewpoints.

This is the way in which people like "Maui Mama" take care of, not only Claremont teachers, but the entire state as well - immense deficits, broken contracts and an exodus of people and dollars out of California.

By the way, you sound like a teacher. It's scary to think that you, probably, preach the gospel of entitlement theology to your students who could be productive but, instead, will learn through you that they are entitled to the best life has to offer without any effort on their part.

No wonder California is in such a mess.
