San Francisco's main st is Market, New York has Wall Street and Broadway, and who doesn't know where Sunset Blvd is located, so why not leave it as "Glendora"?

Let me guess this hair brain scheme is another mad capped idea cooked up by it's very own City Council?

This current City Council of Glendora, California has one fouled up idea after another, when will they ever learn.

This City Council has a bad habit of turning wine into sour milk evertime. They have NO green thumb, instead what ever they touch withers and dies.

Leave the street names in Glendora alone people like them just the way they are.

Due to abuse and bombastic rambling by Gary Cliffords supporters of EX Mayor of Glendora, CA. Gary M. Clifford who is being sued in Superior Court Novemeber 03, 2008, for attacking two young girls his supporters have flooded John Harrold's web page has been closed to any public posting.

Glendora City Hall has a fear of slander being posted by Gary M. Cliffords people, because there are four other city council people who could be sued also for their involvement in the attack by G.M.C.

During this weeks Glendora City Council meeting 5.27.2008 it was announced that a appeal to the already lost case involving L.A. County was in the works, with hopes of regaining $26.0 million dollars on appeal?

Except in the same documents presented at this meeting it was announced that at best the City of Glendora counld hope for was $12.0 million dollars, whats going on here? Are the citizens of Glendora being used for some wild scheme like they have in Las Vegas? And you know who wins there, the house. L.A. County is the house in this case so who's going to win and who's going to lose?

Just how does B.I.D.(Business Improvement District) expect to over come all the damage dougie & wrecking crew has done to the small business owners through out Glendora, California?

After being snubbed by City Hall for so many years in favor of BIG BOX (big tax dollars) the worm has turned and once again City Hall is courting these same small business - who are owned by some of the GOB's & GOG's - they are losing their shirts.

But a strange twist goes with this BID idea, it's will be controlled by City Hall - so the story goes that these business owners in the Village will be helping themselves, not true the only help they will be giving is to City Hall in the form of $60,000.00 dollars a year. City Hall NOT the BID members will be deciding when and where and on what these TAX dollars from BID will be used.

City Hall dropped the ball and now is making the small business owners pay for City Halls mistakes, since business in general for Glendora is in a slump, low public traffic who can afford to shop in the local business. The only shop owners that can afford to join BID are the ones who have accepted REDEVELOPMENT FUNDS from City Hall.

When will the Curb and Parking lot "PAY METERS" be installed by City Hall? This "pay for parking" is coming soon. City Hall has done everything in their power to kill the golden gooses that lay the golden eggs (tax dollar).

Drove down in to Glendora's Village this morning and found a new sight to behold, Meda & Glendora NorthWest corner where "Finkbibders market" once flurished an then "MyGirlFriends Kitchen" this too has gone out of business one bright spot - a "mexican grill" will soon appear in this location - SOON?

But we still have "fight night" at T. Phillips to look forward to, when two or more drunks get in to it at a family oriented business - thats great? Keep those police scanner tuned to your favorite P.D. feq. and catch it "live."

After careful reading of the posting below this and may other blitherings coming from Gene M. group of Village Hijackers (five business owners) these folks could only do this with the blessings from The REV. Karen Davis and the rest of the City Council an city Halls management team!

Well I saw the latest Glendora Life and once again it amazes me how you find out all the dirty facts we have been trying to hide from the residents of Glendora California for years an years?

Its like magic cards if you stack the deck you always win!

Side note Parking meters have not been approved (officially) for downtown but we are waiting until the time is right so stick them in, most likly in the middle of the night thats when we do our best work. Please ask gary m. c. an he will vouch for our services since we stuck up over fifty re election signs for him on Gladstone.

Once again the 20 min parking was the desire of the Five Village Merchants and their Rogue Group, operating under the control of The Chamber of Commerce, City Hall, City Council and the GOB's an GOG's network.

Thank you
business owner on June 21, 2008.

Some how I don't know what compelled this poster to open up and tell the truth for once?

This latest attack by Glendora's City Hall & City Council is just one more Glendora Village to be added to the list, of to late not enough or just plain dumb ideas that should have never gotten out fo the waste paper basket!

Of all the selfish, pig headed, dead ender ideas to paint time limit periods on the street curbs in front of some of the merchants stores. More of less the economy has added an extra burden to ALL stores located in Glendora, California. Many former residents drove from afar to shop and revisit the Village, that has changed theirs nothing of the old to remind them of why they need to come back again for those shopping day visits.

After the City Council decided to raise the license fees along with Water, Trash, Sewer all to generate more tax revenue bases for the coffers of Glendora City Hall.

These so badly needed dollars were the direst result of OUR city council raising their own salaries and others in upper management inside City Hall, was this a pay off for squeeing the re-election proccess in order for this same generious council to pay back the loyal employees?

Glendora will be hard pressed to be able to pay it's obligations as is, in my opinion this cities management is NOT doing enough nor impliminting those cost saving measure fast enough to show the residents they to can "do the same as they are asking the residents to do themselves."

Looks like thre network has located the CRANK-POSER who stole someone else sign on moniker, he lives in Glendora on Foothill Blvd. to the EAST.

Use to drive around in ambulance!

This POSER has more time on his hands than a city council person.

Maybe he should go an visit San Jose?

Il Forno restaurant, downtown Azusa. On par with "Cafe Opera" and "Bella Serra" of Monrovia.....but much closer to Glendora / Azusa......great food, great service, great prices. A Bright spot in Azusa's redevelopment.

Frazella's, Glendora is also fantastic.........only been to T-Phillips once during their first week.......service and food was so bad I swore I wouldn't return for at least 6-months.

In reviewing the actual police audio tapes of the "Clifford Sign Showdown" the facts or the tape clearly outlines cliffords outlandish behavior!

Clifford is a former police officer, and should know better. Heck, he knows our police have better things to do as he is a Glendora City Councilmember. But, as the audio tapes of the incident clearly show, he excert his authority using the color of that authority for his own gradification.

As a Glendora resident and taxpayer, I have a few questions for Councilman Gary Clifford:

* Why did you continue to post illegal campaign signs after you had been told to stop by the city of Glendora?

* Why do you maintain that you were acting under the direction of the police when you INITIALED the private person arrest form ( 5 ) times?

* Why did you say you were out of the country when you were not? But observed at an in your own home next to the Glendora Country Club an at your place of business?

Where theres smoke, then there must be a fire!

By letting only FIVE business owners in Glendora's Historic Village use their close connections with Glendora's City Council to dictate ALL PARKING for two city blocks of shops lining both sides of Glendora Ave. seems a little odd.

But what most people don't know about this "oddity" of controlled parking methods derived from these NON-ENGINEER types seems very strange since this city has had it's backside handed to them in a previous lawsuit involving NON-ENGINEER scheme hatched in the bowels of our City Hall.

How can FIVE business owners shove, push and DARE to speak for other's?

I can understand the DARE part since Glendora's City Council tries this method each time they convien a City Council Meeting.

Negative Glendora Village Merchants, posts this one:The City Council person who was thrown out of T Philips the very first week it was open (according to reports that have come in) was our very own self-proclaimed represenative in our city council. Note that I did not mention anyone's name, whatsoever. Anonymous on June 23, 2008.
A better idea for our Historic Village? Should these five goofy council dolts be the ram rodders for the other 35 merchants? I don't think so!

After reviewing the latest propaganda newspaper article submitted by the City of Glendora an printed on front page SGVTribune.
Since this city has repeatley made false statements and promises to the residents of Glendora as to the Cities Balanced Budget patched together each year, an failed each time so what makes this year any diffrient?
Other than MORE promises to slide the band-aid budget through the City Council voting process.
Saving budget cuts include hiring freeze and position elimination of $90,000.00 - public information rep.
But if you turn to D3 in the same newspaper edition Monday, June 23, 2008 you will find a newsworthy listing posted by the City of Glendora, California. WANTED: Civil Engineer Asst.$4,645.00 -$5,646.00 per month, so where is the cost savings an the statement "Hiring Freeze."
Just can't tell the truth coming from so many, half truth spin masters in City Hall.
