In my 51 years, the Catholic church as never cared at all about white people. They have always been against us.

Of course the Catholic church supports it, it supports anything which aids and abets the continuing stream of ILLEGAL ALIEN PARASITES into this country and their irresponsible breeding of anchor babies.

ILLEGAL ALIEN PARASITES and their anchor babies are the NEW constituency of the Catholic church. The church will not sell off one piece of its valuable property to help pay for the cost of taking care of this scourge, but it will assume a tone of righteousness in telling the American taxpayer to do so.

What a sorry and disgusting bunch of hypocrites.

If the Catholic church wants to dabble in politics, which it does they should pay taxes! I was raised as a catholic but no longer attend. Didnt god say to obey the laws of the land. I guess you can break imigration laws as long as you put money in the collection plate.

It's time for those Catholics supporting their church become vocal and let their Bishop know that they don't agree with breaking the law! The Bishop of the Diocese of San Bernardino doesn't give a hoot about all of his worshipping flock, he cares about the Hispanic community only. Having to explain to your child why it's okay to break the law [illegal immigrants] in this instane and not another, isn't what should a parent should be teaching his/her child. The double standard the Bishop is expousing to his flock is outrageous. And, the Church wonders why their member base is down? As a Catholic, the direction this Bishop is taking our Diocese is more than sad. The Church needs to stay out of the political arena.

Moral perspective? What about the MORAL perspective of breaking the law? And of costing taxpayers $7000+ per year to educate foreigners who have no right to be here? That's OUR money taken from us and given to them. They got a FREE education at our expense and now they want even more. Shameful. I wish the diocese would stay in the business of saving souls instead of encouraging people who BROKE THE LAW and continue to do so by remaining here illegally. Shouldn't those who break the law have to confess their sin and make it right (e.g. go home, pay taxpayers back for the free education)? They are the ones who did something wrong (or their parents, most likely), not us. WE are the victims. Why isn't the diocese standing up for our right not to have to pay to provide a free education to foreigners?

How can the church condone criminal behavior? Illegals need to return to their countries and get an education there - God knows the third world crap holes they originate from desperately need educated people - especially someone educated in the United States.

Well, isnt that just great...well then, I suggest that it start selling off all of its gold and precious jewels and pay for its precious illegals' college educations itself. Taxpayers have already been forced to support, educate, medicate, incarcerate and feed and house illegals' spawn. What they heck more do these leeches and their activists expect of us? How about they all demand that their parents take a bigger roll in supporting and educating their own offspring?

Does the Daily Bulletin employ editors?
I wonder, at least two places in this story are very poorly written,

"Act would help young illegal immigrants who are illegally in the United States enlist in the military, attend college or acquire citizenship"

Illegal immigrants who are in the United States illegally? Is that not redundant?

"Separation of church and state is derived from documents put together by the country's founders.”

Documents put together by the country's founders? Why not just say the Constitution

English would need to be the 1st language of the reporters used by the IVDB in order to understand the nuances of the language and to understand the history of this country.

Every illegal student takes a college seat away from an American student. The Catholic Church should be in Mexico helping in Mexico - THAT is where the social justice goes forward.

The Diocese circumventing the law? Say it ain't so. They want to direct our monies from assisting deserving lower income kids who are citizens of this country, to illegal immigrants who have chosen to violate the laws of this country and the sovereignty of our nation. They should have lost their tax exemption a long time ago.

Um... not sure what Constitution you are reading, but there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution about separating church and state. Just sayin....

The Catholic Church has overstepped its boundaries. Why not have the DREAM ACT for AMERICAN YOUTH...INCLUDING: African, Mexican, Korean, Japanese, Italian, Irish, Indian, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Swedish, Scottish...etc... What about OUR LEGAL IMMIGRANT YOUTH...and our NATURALIZED YOUTH?????????

The Catholic Church is not respecting our Federal Laws. Illegal is illegal. All people who are in our country illegally are illegal ALIENS. They should not have a voice in our country. They should all be deported. This is all about Arizona's Law...in which California should enact as well.

Let me make myself perfectly clear. Anyone who comes to America LEGALLY, who goes through the correct legal channels to become a citizen should be welcome with open arms and I would fight for their rights. It doesn't matter what country they hail from.

i am extremely offended and tired of everyone pulling the RACE card. It has nothing to do with race. It does not matter what country these people are from...

We are having a difficult time to pay for our own children to attend higher learning schools. Whether it is a trade school, Junior College or a 4 year University. Many of our own AMERICAN YOUTH are struggling to pay for school...if they can pay for it at all...yet this Catholic Church and its Diocese wants for these illegal youth to get free education????
What is up with that? When does my child get a FREE RIDE??????? NEVER.

Our elected officials had better straighten out and listen to their constituents. We want ILLEGAL ALIENS to be deported...We want our borders tightly secured. We want AMERICA BACK!!!!

I use to be a Catholic, till I found out they were a faggot Cult who covers fore each other while they pray upon our children. They are pedofiles who will burn in hell.Even the pope is a pedofile. These people take in as many mexicans as they can to get their money just like the Union Hall I belong too. The union hall is as corrupt as the catholic church. Even the mexicans know the church just wants their money. What the Catholics are doing is dabbling in corruption, which is proof their religion is fake. I can only say GOD DAMN THE Catholic pedofile corrupt fake cult pervert religion. Now go light a candle and eat your body of Christ. Oh and dont forget to throw ten percent of what you make in the basket. Thats what its all about MONEY$$$$$$$$. San Bernardino is mexico. Thats why the church has a new customer. Oh, and all those pictures of Jesus, thats not what he looks like. Its a tactic the catholic church uses to take your money and molest your kids.

I'm also an ex-catholic and happy to be one. They've always stuck their papal nose into politics, so YES - they should pay taxes. Their main concern is CASH...hey, a new word: Cashlic!
