Hello all,
I'm looking for a home in the area and have been told that there are some areas to stay away from.. I believe that DB has low crime rate and am looking to settle with my family. How is the area near Little League Park?
My other question is why are there a lot of homes for sale in this region?
Thanks,

better place to move is Walnut. It's neighboring Diamond Bar, but is a lot quieter, less kids running around causing problems at night, and is home to some of the highest ranking schools in the nation. If your'e moving to Diamond Bar, a lot of the kids there are spoiled brats and almost always cause trouble, just read the recent news articles.

I have lived in Diamond Bar for over 12 years and find it a great place to live. Diamond Ranch is a great high school and their scores are very good. They are at 871, higher than most high schools. I have children and they are not spoiled, do well in school, have jobs, and have never been in any trouble. I recommend the city to anyone!

I lived in Diamond Bar from 1986 until 2000. Now I only visit my family for several months out of the year. I don't like Southern California because I think the entire area is a man-made hell, but my family's neighborhood is so quiet that it's boring. The neighborhood would be an ideal place for any family or anyone who wants peace, safety and very attractive surroundings.
Good luck finding any place for sale in the surrounding neighborhood!

I grew up in Diamond Bar. I came there in 1971, and it was a great place to grow up. The area near the Little Leage field used to be not so desirable, but that was about 30 years ago. I dont know what the kids say about it anymore. I left in 84,and moved back in 93 so that my children could go to school at Maple Hill Elementry, South Point Middle school, and Diamond Bar High. The schools here are great, the teachers are great, and most parents get involved with school activities, which makes it even better. I know alot of families in Walnut who send there kids to Diamond Bar .Diamond Bar schools do have some spoiled brats, but doesnt every city.

I grew up in Diamond Bar. When I was younger, the area near the little league field was not so desirable.Since then a new highschool was built(Diamond Ranch) so no more Pomona Schools(YIKES! Thats where you need to stay away from!) I left after I was married, then returned so that my kids to go to the schools there. Every school that they have gone to in Diamond Bar has been terrific. Yes, there are spoiled brats, but arent they everywhere.

Diamond bar high school is one the highest ranked schools in the NATION. All of the schools in the Walnut Valley School District are high end schools. Diamond Bar is a very quiet city. I have lived in Diamond Bar since 1989 and there has been very little negative activity here.

I have lived in diamond bar for over 10 years, I thought it was a safe place to live until this week when my house got robbed, I spoke to the police and they told me a week ago a house not far from my house got robbed too. So diamond bar being safe... I'm not sure anymore...maybe it was some spoiled kids who robbed my house but all I know for sure is that I no longer think diamond bar is as safe as I used to think it was

Diamond Bar has also been taken over by the Asian population. If you want to live near a good Little League field, move to Covina area. My kids play little league over there and it's awesome.

The bad part of Diamond Bar is near Oak Tree Lanes. I would not recommend buying anything near there!

Diamond Bar was just ranked one of the top ten cities to live in. If you are Asian you might prefer Walnut as it is over 75% Asian. Spoiled Brats???? what a stupid comment...and from some idiot who doesn't live in the area

Thanks, My Family and I moved to DB in 2004 from Lakewood. We LOVE it, we have met more familes in the short time we have been here than the 10 years we were in Lakewood. One of the primary reasons for moving to this area was the schools. My daughter is in the 3rd grade at Evergreen Elementary and my son is in 10th grade at Diamond Bar High School. I think it is a wonderful place to raise a family. Recently, we have been at little league park for cheer practice for my daughter, and I can't say that neighborhood is that great. It is not as pretty or clean as the areas by Diamond Bar Bl and Pathfinder. I do think some of the kids get a bit rowdy, but if that is the worst thing they ever do, I'm ok with it. I think you will like the area. I would suggest that you try to get into the side of DB that is Walnut Valley School District..the API scores are more consistent. Good Luck to you.
