Come on Daily Bulletin ... please get the title of the story right. "Immigrants feeling economic pain," i think not. The correct title of this story should be:

"ILLEGAL Immigrants feeling econmic pain"

The fact they are illegal does not matter.

"The Big Lie". This is only one of many

There is no society that can survive an uncontrolled influx of millions of foreigners, in such a short generational time frame, that are only here for financial values (no interest in "America"). Our culture will collapse and begin to look like a dying society, just as what is happening in Europe.
Is this what those politicians, that profess the Constitution is a living document, have referred to when they say "we need to model ourselves to look more like Europe?" Europe will be dead in 100 years if they do not change tomorrow.
The numbers of lost-undocumented visa-work permit aliens (now illegal) from the mid 1960's to today has never been tracked by government. How many? No one knows. The only ones that are current are those that want to become a citizen and follow the current rules. These would make good citizens but INS-Congress do not want these people and make it a very difficult process to citizenship. Common is 11-12 years.
Sub-contract (housing construction) use of illegal aliens is not "work Americans will not do" as cited by politicians. These politicians are the ones that do not want to fix the Southern Border and abide by the 911 commission required fixes. By slowing down the construction rate, American citizens would fit into the housing construction field that these illegals are performing. Why do politicians protect these illegal Aliens? To build a new class of voter - called Illegal Alien voting rights.

The current Credit crises was created- catalyst provided by Congress - greed drove everything else. Illegal aliens got a Gov'mt inspired loan (greed) that they could not afford. These all have become foreclosed. This group of house buyers have no legal record of even being here in the United States. These are for sure "Toxic Asset" properties.

There are other national illegal aliens that are part of the open borders problem. But are small in number compared to Hispanic speaking aliens.

To be an IMMIGRANT one must abide by the written law for entry and validation of stay within the borders of the United States.

I once worked for Gov'mt. I was not allowed (disciplinary procedure) to even insinuate that some employee may not be a citizen or immigrant worker with a current worker permit. Possession of a social security number(may be purchased easily) will build the platform for a picture ID - drivers license. Bio-metric ID's are part of the 21st century. It is no different than a finger/foot print which are both an image of DNA.

Nice first draft freddym. When you come back with something factual and coherent, people might discuss it with you.

If you want to do something, join NumbersUSA, a non-partisan organization devoted to immigration reduction, both legal and illegal. You will be able to look up your representatives' voting records, as well as fax them free of charge, and stay abreast of current issues regarding immigration. There are several excellent video clips, one featuring T.Willard Fair, an African-American leader in Miami, who discusses how all the jobs once held by blacks are now held by immigrants, both legal and illegal. This is a terrific way to actually do something about the problem. Sites like this can mobilize their readers when an issue comes up, like last year's amnesty bill that failed.

It has to do with the numbers. We don't see 20 million Canadians flooding into the U.S. It has to do with the language, the drain on our "safety net," and competition with low-earning U.S. workers. If 20 million Canadians speaking French invaded the U.S., forcing our schools to teach bilingually, and who cost U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars in social services, we would see the same negative response.

People - Stop writing here . Organize
some neighbors and form a protest . Make
your own signs . Go call

a legislator. Calls do make a
difference . Don't write -
call . Pick a Democratic

legislator if you live in California
and ask them how they expect you to
pay more in taxes when you are running
in the red every month - perhaps even losing a
job
or home ? Because these stupid
politicians who are so out of touch
with economic realities - think we
the legal citizens of this country are just
a bunch of sheep to be manipulated - run
over and used as an endless source of
fund . Let your voices be heard!
I've had some of
them.
be nonplussed because hardly anyone even
bothers to call them .
Ask them how they can ask people to pay
more in taxes when there are
people who are here illegally collecting
benefits .(They cost
us $8 billion dollars in California alone )
When the State employee's union balks at
any reduction in jobs or cuts in salary or
benefits ( which are more than generous )
Are we Americans or not ? Wasn't this
a Nation founded on freedom from onerous
and unfair taxation ? Where is the
backbone ?

Ah, for the good old days when all immigrants were legal (or at least white). The first Europeans who set sail for America, whether for economic opportunities or political/religious freedom or to flee the law, all carefully obtained their visas in advance. I'm sure if any of us were in the same situation as Latinos fleeing economic hardship or civil strife in another country, we would simply accept our fates.

If I were faced with 'economic hardship' I wouldn't be having children I couldn't afford to feed.

The article states "immigrants"and should be "illegal immigrants". We are all facing hardships at this time and I don't need my taxes raised to support an "illegal when we have enough citizens that need the help. If all the free-loaders were taken out of the system, we wouldn't have near the economic problem we're facing.

Amen. I would buy all of the stands empty of newspapers just to boost their sales if they would print that headline but, as the saying goes, "there's not a snowball's chance in Hell".

Washington -- Nearly eight years after Chandra Levy stepped out of her Dupont Circle apartment on a warm May day and disappeared, District of Columbia police Tuesday charged an illegal immigrant from El Salvador with killing her near a remote hiking trail deep in Rock Creek Park.
Ingmar Guandique, 27, who is serving a 10-year prison sentence for attacking two other women at knifepoint in the park around the time of Levy's disappearance, was charged with first-degree murder in her 2001 death.

They need to be writing an article about how the recession is affecting Americans, not illegal aliens. I don't give a damn about how it's affecting them.
