Anybody have anything negative to say about Citrus Springs? I am considering locating there for retirement.

Our family has lived here for 3-1/2 years and we love Citrus Springs. It's quiet and beautiful. While a little remote, everything you need is just a ten-minute drive away.

Citrus Springs!
If you come in from the fountain entrance - 41N - you'll be discouraged right away. The homes are trashy and old. Lawns are filthy.
As you drive on futher, then you'll see the real Citrus Springs, nice and quite until the weekend, Dirt bikes; 4x4's speeding up and down the road, someone will get hurt one of these days.

citrus springs was nice ten years ago.NOW IT SUCKS,my roommate was arrested for trying to protect me from the local punks and it cost him 30k to deal with it AND the cops lied all over the depos,do not move to citrus county unless you likewannabe gangbangers, dealers, prostitute s walking up and down the blvd,7 year old girls"throwing gang signs"etc, etc.most of the good people have moved out,the ones left can't afford to because the property values have dropped to what they were in 1999.yeah,its cheap real estate.for a reason
just sayin

We live in the southern part of citrus springs near the community center, and have yet to have even one issue. The old part of Citrus spings up aroung the fire house and dollar store has some rough parts, but I think you can get a great value in the areas around the golf coarse as well as the southern part. Just look around and see what is around. If your to be neighbors have junk piled up in the front yard and looks like crap,, your gonna have issues! If you are lokking at a house in an area and everyon around has nice yards then I think you are going to like living here!
