I would never recommend anyone use CGA Properties as their landlord. They are disrespectful and rude, they mock you over the phone and they keep deposits without a legal leg to stand on. Thankfully, I was familiar with the Real Estate Laws and I was able to get my deposit back. I could see how their threatening demeanor would cause people to back off and walk away as opposed to fight for what is right. Stand up for yourself and do not let them bully you around!

I agree wholeheartedly. They are very dishonest. They have a lot of illegal aliens doing their work and charging a lot of money for what shabby work they do.

Chris personally endorses the illegals then claims they are "independent contrators" and he "cannot control the quality of their work." Yeah... that's why you employ them for all your handiman work and rehabs!!!

He's scrathing the backs of people who are no more than criminals and and tax evaders and not the backs of the owners who pay him to manage their properties.

I suggest you avoid these guy at all cost. I sure wish someone had warned me about how they do business!.

CGA's "final walk through" left me holding the bag on THOUSANDS in repairs. They just got snotty about it. I had to do my OWN final rewalk through for the tenant and found GA must have had their eyes closed! They missed every bit of blatant damage and destruction. When I told them we were done doing business they handed me my tenant deposit and told me to deal with her dispute on my own.(Yes really).

All they did was make my tenants mad and want to move out. Thank you for your lowsy management CGA. May the job you do on your owners come back on you a hundredfold!

I agree fully these people are CRAZY. They treat you like shit. I have been waiting a year to renew a lease. They won't give me any answers. I also had my place broken into and they wanted to know if I called the police and tried their Best to say it was us that did the Damage. I was Out raged I had thousands of dollars worth of stuff stollen.

Where are these locations? Maybe if you publicize the centers, the owners will find out, realize the management company is costing them money because prospective tenants are staying away. Then they might change property managers.

Wow sounds like its a good thing I read this first. I had to take three hours off of work just to see a property, because it was so "important" to schedule a visit. I show up on time and am told to take a look around by Kristina, while she continues to have casual conversation with so other person. That was the extent of the interaction. How professional.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate having a good management company. I even recommended my father to CGA Property Management and he has turned over 12 of his units to them. I have never worked with a company that had the kind of customer service and follow-up that CGA does. They really do stand above the rest.

Where are the CGA properties?
Who is a good property management company?

I am so glad I found these comments on CGA. I placed an application a few months ago with this company and they seemed professional and courteous. We did not rent from them then because they asked us for a double deposit which we did not have at the time. Now, I am considering renting from them again but this time, alone. When I first applied they said they would hold my application for six months if my choice didn't come through. Now, they are telling me I have to start from scratch and pay the application fee all over again. I don't know if I will and based on these reviews, it makes me wary of dealing with them. However, to be honest, I don't know of a management comany that doesn't behave this way, including my current company. So, like some of the previous responders said, you just have to know your rights and the law regarding Landlord/tenant relationships and be willing to assert them.

It is unbelievable how unprofessional the cga management team is. When i was signing me rental agreement the lady told us that the owner was a cheap scape and would never have anything fixed so don't expect anything special. But what she didn't know is that i new the property owner. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

Rude, lazy, dishonest, did I mention rude? Never fixed anything that was their job to take care of, they don't call you back even in emergencies. Beware! Find a professional management company! And do not expect to get your deposit back either.

This company (CGA Property Management Company) advertises and list services to Train individuals to become Property Managers and promises at the end of training designated Property Accounts for the individuals to begin managing in order to generate income. The company charges $450.00 for the program.
The training is taught and managed by Chris Airola (Christopher K. Airola) in Citrus Heights Ca. In the beginning the program will "appear" advantageous, rewarding and promising. However, his training "style" is dis-organized, un-prepared and redundant which causes the training to be pro-longed and lengthy.
Mr. Airola will then lose focus and forget what he has already gone over and trained, causing additional pro-longed days of training to continue. You will feel lost, un-organized and frustrated and then he will NOT issue the Accounts as previously promised.
Mr. Airola advertises (on-a slide show) 5-Property Management Accounts to be issued to you upon completion, however verbally he changes it to 3-accounts.
He is VERY un-ethical, looks over his shoulder in worry CONSTANTLY because he does not know current laws, rules and regulations and has told stories of bad-deals transactions that he has made in error costing him THOUSANDS of dollars. He's very paranoid, NOT CAUTIOUS, he has hidden cameras all throughout his office and records all phone conversations. This is not cautious, it's paranoid. Someone with un-ethical and immoral business practices only creates this type of paranoia. Honest people don't have to live like this or worry to this magnitude.
For women looking to get into this line of work, he talks down to women, he harasses women and intimidates with constant stories of who he had to FIRE and reasons why. He CONSTANTLY tells the trainees that he has FIRED other Property Managers and this sort of intimidation and harassment causes a very disturbing, uncomfortable and fearful work environment.
The time-line or scheduled date for completing the program will come but he will NOT issue you the properties as promised. Nor, will he offer a refund. He becomes belligerent, angry, arrogant, insulting and nasty.
He will make up EXCUSES, talk down to women and bully you.
No matter if you are a renter, property owner, investor, etc, DO NOT GET INVOLVED with these people. Protect yourself and your family.

I just came across these other posts about CGA Property Management while I was searching for their mailing address on the web.

I have been a landlord. Unfortunately, I am now a renter.

I moved into a house in Roseville last month. CGA was by far the best management company that I have worked with. Everyone in the office was knowledgeable, helpful and accesable.

The painter that they sent to my place to do touch ups was professional as well. Lastly, on move in day, what a pleasure it was to find my new place immaculate and smelling so clean, thank you OCD Cleaning Service.

This company is HORRIBLE. they are rude and lazy. the duplex my husband and i moved into was so thrashed and for the first 6 months of living there, our dishwasher didnt work, our closet doors didn't open, there was a hole in the ceiling and everytime we would call to have something fixed they would tell us sorry i can only come here to fix one thing. what?

I am a homeowner who used CGA and I would never recommend them to anyone. If you value your property as an investment, look elsewhere for a property management company.

CGA is unprofessional and could care less about your property. They find the worst tenants and they never check up on the property. After years of using them, I finally inspected my property to find my lawn had dried up, broken garbage disposal, broken oven, food stains on walls, crayon drawings on fireplace, cigeratte butts all over the property, etc, etc.

I had even wrote a check to CGA for a few hundred dollars so that their vendor could do some maintenance work on my property but NOTHING was ever done. CGA just simply kept my money.

Its funny how CGA' 5 star reviews from YAHOO are coming from one-named idiots created by CGA to boost their business.

Im going through this right now with cga, we had mold in 2011, they "fixed the problem" a year later the mold is back and again "it is fixed". They will not give the mold reports as to the toxic or not question. We were told to supena the report! they are very much the worst ever... And now they wont give a Discounted rate for us not being able to use the rooms for three weeks of the month. DO NOT SING UP WITH CGA, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, PROMISE YOU THE WORLD, AND DO NOTHING! can someone resopnd with any other info?
