We FILIPINOS are hardworkers!!! It's our choice if we want to work 2 jobs. It only reflects the quality of work we provide, and for ure information its not only FILIPINOS that works more than one job! More work and less talk !!!!

Mmmmmmm....I'm not going to get into this one about whether people are lazy or do their work. That's not what this article in the Tribune is about, and besides, calling the Filipino nurses lazy can be borderline on being a racist comment. I think if you want to generalize things, we ALL can be lazy at what we do...and that includes everybody. There are people who work diligently and there are slackers (And I've seen my share of slackers, not necessarily in nursing), so if you want to say a certain group is lazy, you may need to generalize the statement to include everyone. Just my opinion. :-)

why are you not looking at the real picture. Stop biting each other. This has nothing to do with race, or your co workers. It is about how much you can get from the hospitals. CNA wants an increase in pay for what reason I have no idea. What do they do with all the money they have taken from our pay??? I never liked the CNA but I did not take advantage of my right to vote when I should have. I know there are a lot of you out there that think the same thing we've talked about it. It is our I don't want to get involved attitude that they were able to get in, we didn't vote no. We never thought it would happen. I want CNA out and I will stop my dues.

Then you are bitter. And it is clear at CVMC there is Latino vs. Pilipino thing going on, orchestrated by the Latinos. Evidence of this is your original post.

Wow! I sure hope I never have to be a patient in one of these hospitals. If the nurses don't care anything for each other to refrain from name-calling and accusations, and don't care enough about themselves to see that their posts on this site make them appear to be unprofessional, then how can I trust them to care anything for the patient? So very sad...
