It is good to bring an Applebee's to Citrus Crossing. As long as Azusa sticks to affordable dining they will do fine. The high-end restaurants don't seem to be able to make it here, Il Forno went out of business, too bad because it was a good restaurant.

This is stupid. As Ronald Reagan said, there you go again. They just lost hundreds of thousands on Ill Fornio, so for an encore, they go to gamble more tax money? Are Azusa voters idiots for supporting this? Let Applebee's gamble THEIR money, not taxpayer money. Do we live in Cuba now? Also, nobody wants that white-bread food. How come it's not a Mexican place!!!

Great just what we need in Azusa!! Another place that people can get drunk and disorderly and the PD will not do anything about it because they are so understaffed. Oh and the loan the city is talking about? Where is that money coming from? More bogus citations that are going to be handed out for stupid stuff?

Ill Forno wasn't a high end restaurant, not to say it wasn't a great place for food. The place just wasn't marketed at all. It was also the wrong time for the place.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to wait for higher end restaurants till some more development was done with Rosedale. Granted, Applebee's would attract the college crowd in that area of Azusa.

We already have great mexican food places here in Azusa, Max's, La Tolteca and Carmen's just to mention a few. We need some variety and Citrus Crossing is the perfect place for a restaurant like Applebee's.

I like Applebee's and love Red Robin or what about a chick-fil-a.

I like the idea of more restaurants in Azusa but DISLIKE the idea of taxpayers picking up a $200,000 tab. Apple B's needs to step up and take the gamble!

Hey Angry Parent you live in Upland, thats "white bread" country. So let us "Mexicans" here in Azusa choose what we want for our city.
thanks

Please no more Mexican restaurants. I love Mexican food (Max's rules!). But, Azusa has too many, most of which are roach motels. Azusa needs much more diversity when it comes to restaurants.
