That's just great. Now we have OFF DUTY officers killing people. Of course, "he fearing for his safety" he shot him. No weapon found, great. He couldn't have shot him in the legs either, it had to be a mortal shot.

Every time, someone reaches in their wasteband around me, I'm going to punch them in the face. Keys in the waste band, wallet in the wasteband, papers in the wasteband, POW!. I feared for my safety.

Geez...the gang in blue, I mean the boys in blue.

What time of the morning was it? Was it 1:00am or 11:00am? What was he doing that was "acting suspiciously"? If he was in AZ, he'd just been deported, not murdered. We live in a Police State. We allowed it to happen. We don't need all these insane laws & intrusions on our privacy & rights. We don't need all these officers. What we all do need is the right to conceal carry, the same right afforded to the out-of-control police. At least then, the deputy could say the victim had a gun and the victim would have had a fighting chance.

Oh perfect. The guy was from Pomona too? Perfect result. Another Pomona dirt bag gang member gone forever. Choose Pomona gangs, end up in jail or dead. Simple.

Officers are not trained to shoot in the leg, they are trained to stop the threat center mass. He Identified himself, you should be smarter then reach in your waist band after an officer, either on duty or off duty identifies himself/herself. Being on duty or off duty has nothing to do with the situation. They have 24 hour peace officer status. He saw something out of the norm, confronted the situation, and he feared for his safety. If in that situation I would rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6!!

regardless of the situation it was an OFF DUTY police officer, he had no right to shoot him or in this case kill him, he couldve simply called the non emergency police number and had one of the officers go over to take a look but instead trigger happy rambo tried to be a hero and killed someone who was just hanging out with homeboy, that is just wrong and i hope this police officer pays for his mistake

The only mistake was made by the homie when he reached into his waistband. I bet He wont make that mistake twice. The homie was probably thinking like you, that he was off duty and that he could mess with him and intimidate him.

It's so refreshing to know that we have so many police use of force experts in this world to pass judgment on the mindset of trained police officers. Good for you Attorney. It's also good to know that you are among the very rarest of individuals who can ALWAYS place your shot in the leg, the big toe, the hand that may have held the gun, the trigger finger thereby making the crook unable to return fire, etc. With all your training and expertise you should hold weekly seminars and give your gift to humanity by training, um, re-training police officers in the skill of hitting a moving target, under a life threatening stressful event so that they too can shoot as expertly as you do. Perhaps you've invented a magic bullet that always seeks out non-vital areas of the body by use of some sort of heat seeking technology. Again, you should present your gift to humanity so that the crooks of the world will be protected from their own stupidity of reaching for an area of the body known to conceal deadly weapons. Maybe you can convince the police officers of the world to sacrifice their own lives and simply leave their weapons at home or the station, because God knows that the life of a crook trying to evade arrest by killing his captor is infinitely more important than the lives of those police officers.

Here's a hint. When confronted by a police officer, put your hands int he air, not in your waste band, and all will be fine.

What an IDIOT! The poor guy was probably reaching for a wallet or something. Now this moron has to live with the fact that he shot an unarmed man. Sounds like a big chicken sh*t if he was so quick to shoot.

Ok i live over there. it was justified! Now my family doesnt have to worry about having people break in to our cars and our homes!. The women admited it! She ran and hid infront of my house! you cant say it wasnt legit unless you were there!the women hid and put stuff in the plants by the person across from my house. it was perfectly fine in my mind. cops are trained to shoot if they feel threatend
