I have heard that in the Buddhist culture the gift of choice when on goes to consult his/her monk is honey.
At my honey stall, I combine a large container of honey with the abridged edition of "The Honey Revolution" wrapped in clear celophane and tied with green and red ribbon. It is the perfect gift for the health conscious.

Honey also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can hasten wound healing and may even reduce scarring. Here is a good source for honey http://www.tenonanatche.com/honey.htm , raw honey; http://www.tenonanatche.com/raw-honey.htm or raw buckwheat honey http://www.tenonanatche.com/raw-buckwheat-hon... .
