While Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn., has forcefully denounced the Medicaid program for swelling the "welfare rolls," the mental health clinic run by her husband has been collecting annual Medicaid payments totaling over $137,000 for the treatment of patients since 2005.

Unreported payments are on top of the $24,000 in federal and state funds that Bachmann & Associates, the clinic founded by Marcus Bachmann, a clinical therapist, received in recent years under a state grant to train its employees, state records show.

The clinic, based in Lake Elmo, Minn., describes itself on its website as offering "quality Christian counseling" for a large number of mental health problems ranging from "anger management" to addictions and eating disorders.

The $161,000 in payments from the Minnesota Department of Human Services to her husband's clinic appear to contradict some of Michelle Bachmann's public accounts this week when she was first asked about the extent to which her family has benefited from government aid.

Questions about the Bachmann family's receipt of government funds arose this week after a Los Angeles Times story reported that a family farm in which Michelle Bachmann is a partner had received nearly $260,000 in federal farm subsidies.

But state records show that Bachmann & Associates has been collecting payments under the Minnesota's Medicaid program every year for the past six years. Karen Smigielski, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Human Services, said the state's Medicaid program is funded "about 50-50" with federal and state monies.

Smigielski added that these were not the only government funds that Bachmann & Associates has received. Bachmann was not asked about Medicaid payments, and she made no mention of them.)

"The contract was with the clinic," Vick added later. But she had no immediate information about whether the clinic passed it along directly to the employees being trained or used it to cover its costs of training.

The issue of her receipt of government aid has gotten attention because Bachmann, a Tea Party favorite, has been a fierce critic of federal spending programs and has called for drastic cutbacks.

She's giving hypocrisy a bad name, said Ron Pollock, executive director of Families USA, a consumer health care advocacy group, when asked about the Medicaid payments to Bachmann & Associates.

It's clear when it feathers her nest she's happy for Medicaid expenditures. But people that really need it — folks with disabilities and seniors — she's turning their backs on them.

Republican presidential candidates Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum sought to clarify their support of a pledge that contained a controversial preamble suggesting black children born into slavery had better family structures than black children now.

The excerpt has been removed from The Marriage Vow - A Declaration of Dependence upon Marriage and Family, a pledge issued by the conservative Christian organization The Family Leader. Sounds like the 'good ole KKK' at work again!

M. Bachmann announced she and her husband have pulled out of their respective church.

A persons view of her actions:

We ALL know what her church teaches hate, racism, distortion, rife, backstabbing and everything associated with how to get to hell. I think she was a member of the Satan Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Minnesota not Salem as mentioned.

In late July 2010, Rep. Michele Bachmann’s communication director Dziok had worked for Bachmann for two and a half years.

Dziok’s departure triggered a debilitating medical episode that landed the congresswoman in urgent care, within 24 hours she was in the hospital.

Bachmann was admitted to a Washington, D.C. hospital on Friday, July 30, 2010. Three people who have worked closely with Bachmann, not an isolated event.

The Minnesota Republican frequently suffers from stress-induced medical episodes, these episodes, say witnesses, occur once a week on average and can “incapacitate” her for days at time.

“When she gets ‘em, frankly, she can’t function at all. It’s not like a little thing with a couple Advils. It’s bad,” the adviser says.“The migraines are so bad and so intense, she carries and takes all sorts of pills. Prevention pills. Pills during the migraine. Pills after the migraine, to keep them under control. She has to take these pills wherever she goes.”

To staff, Bachmann has implausibly blamed the headaches on uncomfortable high-heel shoes, but those who have worked closely with her cite stress, a busy schedule and anything going badly for Bachmann as causes.

On the evening of May 13, 2010, Bachmann flew to Los Angeles for a series of political and fundraising events. In part because of complications with her flight schedule, Bachmann’s mood plunged. During the entire six-hour flight, she was desperately sick from headaches.

The former aide says Bachmann’s congressional staff is “constantly” in contact with her doctors to tweak the types and amounts of medicine she is taking.

As presidental candidate, when she’s in crisis management mode, is she going to have the physical ability to withstand the most difficult challenges facing America?

Two sources independently provided detailed accounts of Bachmann’s condition. A third source confirmed that Bachmann frequently suffers from debilitating headache episodes.

They came in like that and no one thought they would ever learn to act like adults.

They say they're the 'protest' wing of the republican party.

Well, at some point they have to learn how to govern since they're being paid by the taxpayers of this country!

Calling them terrorists is actually tame.

That's why they are are TRAITORS!

Sen. Obama voted against the debt ceiling increase in 2006 saying it was a failure of presidential leadership.

But our Nobel Laureate lecturer in chief decided to crank up spending and vilify the private sector.

Was he lying then or is he lying now?
