VOTE SMART TODAY EL MONTE

CHANGE ALREADY HAPPENED

CHANGE HAPPENED WHEN THE CITY COUNCIL FINALLY DARED TO STOP PAYING THE RIDICULOUS

SALARY AND PENSION DEMANDS OF THE POLICE UNION.

CHANGE WILL DIE IF YOU SIMPLY VOTE IN THEIR NEW BATCH OF PUPPET CANDIDATES

VOTE NO ON GOMEZ
VOTE NO ON MACIAS
VOTE NO ON QUINTERO
VOTE NO ON THOMAS

NONE OF THEM WERE ENDORSED by THIS NEWSPAPER.

IN FACT, WHEN FORCED TO CHOOSE BETWEEN ERNIE and ANDRE FOR MAYOR, THDE NEWSPAPER CHOSE NOT TO MAKE ANY CHOICE AT ALL. WHY? BECAUSE OF ANDRE'S TIES TO THE POLICE UNION WHICH THEY SAID WAS "RECIPE FOR MORE SPENDING"....THAT YOU THE TAXPAYER WOULD PAY FOR.

Why do you take the safe route and back the incumbents. There are new people on the ballots that deserve a fair chance to make improvements to our city and to our school district;. Many of our schools would benefit by having someone new on board, new people who do not have the backing of current district bullies who no longer have concerns for our children's well being. Also, why not look at the possibilities available with new candidates as well. I do not criticize the incumbents on the school board, in fact, they have had to deal with less than desirable people but I would think the paper would be bold enough to try the newcomers.

no on Jimenez for me. She has done nothing but personally attack the families who live in apartments. Lord help us if she makes it.

I have even been told that this year was the first time that Mike Spence even visited a classroom. He is there for the title and not for the children. He has publically attacked other people and can not focus on all the real issues at hand. Yes there might be wonderful things happening in our distrcit but I'm willing to bet not because of him.

Not everyone knew about her comments and attack on the parents and for her to pubically say she is the first latina on the school board well again she has her facts wrong. She may have made it for now but I promise you there are plenty of parents that will be watching every little move she makes. There will be no room for error.

Daily Horoscope for December 2

Virgo

The Gemini Full Moon places the spotlight on your career and reputation; most Virgos are very discriminating and should have nothing but good coming their way during this time. However, many of you will be thrown a curve or two, so be prepared to meet the challenge. Your private life may be disturbed as the Moon shines her light on your public life... don't be afraid to tell them that your personal life is none of their business.
