I will NEVER go there again... overpriced and the staff is rude... it is true if u drive behind the bakery during the weekday around 9ish at least 2 are out back smoking and the one lady that works there is always walking her dog letting it poop behind the building... i work downtown and witnessed this more than once... Where her dog is while she is workin who knows??? Carnivals cakes and pumpkin doughnuts are MUCH MUCH better and half the price... Lindseys is only in business because of the name and the $$ they over price people at The Pumpkin Show and on a daily basis... sad but true

Hmm...I havent heard this come up..outside of doughnuts and cookies,....what do they REALLY make from SCRATCH there anymore?...

The place has really went down hill after Gene Lindseys passing..I remember back in the day getting pecan rolls, fresh bread, cream horns, and all kinds of godies from there....I just dont see the same.level of pride with this generation...
I have heard the health department being there before...maybe they give so many days to get things cleaned up or something and that is why there is no record ...
The high prices will drive them out of business because there is nothing exceptional there anymore..

Kati should see the flies flying around in the case she should't have to be told, when she took it over it went down hill i haven't been in there for a long time because it was so dirty, It should be shut down by the health department someone should look in to this. It is very dirty and was a nice bakery but not any more. what a shame for the family name to let it go to hell needs shut down or cleaned up maybe she's to old to run it. We need a new bakery in town, not a scum bag fly infested bakery dirty dirty dirty health dept please shut this place down or make them clean it up sorry but true. Thought I was the only one that noticed it because it was a very well upscale bakery at one time everyone who'd say oh it came from Lindseys...not anymore

Lyndseys Bakery is a dump. The people are rude and the business is totally over rated. Now with Republican Vice Presidental hopeful Paul Ryan visiting, that seals the deal for me. I won't be going back. Business should stay out of politics if they are smart. You can easily offend potential customers who belong to the opposite party.
More republicans than democrats in Pickaway County, so don't worry about it!

Lol! Romney will get nearly 70% of the vote here in pickaway. I will let the bob benson havers of the world run their mouths about lindseys while I go and support them.

Bob Bensonhaver is on this thread and is just made that someone is cornering the market on giving sweets to children.

People are making up accusations because they don't like Paul Ryan.

The place has been in business for 50 years, so go ahead and not go, they seem to do fine.

If you are THAT offended that a small business owner is a Republican and wants to be supportive, then get a life.

Lindseys is a business on the decline. It was a fine establishment when they had the coffee shop across the street in the 90's, now just a fly and rat infested dump.
As far as politics go... I agree. They shouldn't be mixing politics with business. Yes Pickaway County is dominantly republican, but if i were the owner I wouldn't be trying to offend even one potential customer by bringing radical Paul Ryan into my establishment. Facts show that some folks are strongly motivated by political party. Why take the risk of potentially turning customers away?
And by the way... Romney will win Pickaway county... but he will lose Ohio AND the election. I don't think this country is ready to vote another rich guy in who thinks trickle down economics and putting planned parenthood out of business is the answer to our problems.

Paul Ryan is from Wisconsin you idiot.

Its hard to gage who will win ohio. We live in a rural area dominated by republicans. Ohio is won and lost in urban areas. If Obama turns out the vote in the cities, he will win a second term. I think it's going to be close...

I'm a moderate Republican voting for Obama. The Romney Ryan ticket is far to radical when it comes to womens rights and social issues. Plus the economy here in ohio is doing much better. I'm willing to give Obama another term because it does seem we are on the right track.

Explain why you are referring to Paul Ryan as a radical!

If you like $4.00 a gallon gasoline, record setting unemployment and food stamp dependence, out of this world US government debt, 4 dead in Libya just so Team Obama can say terrorism is under control, foreclosures at record setting rates, economy killing Obamacare, Obamaphones, voter fraud, gay marriage, illegal immigration, and on and on, than Obama is your man. Obama, who is labeled as a radical. If you want to live in a third world country, there are plenty to pick from, it appears that the majority of US citizens don't want too.

Lindsey's Bakery has always been known to be owned by a republican citizen, if you don't like it, don't go but this is a republican leaning county and will be supported by conservatives just like Chic-Fil-A, who by the way, just reported recorded earnings.

Women's rights, pay for your own birth control, less than $10.00 a month. The economy is doing better, not because of Obama but because of casino jobs and fracking. You are by far, not a moderate republican. You are a democrat, the party of misfits.

Planned Parenthood should operate privately. Why should we pay for your birth control and abortions? Pay for them yourselves. Good grief, how many times are you going to post the same statements over and over under different names? You must be the lone democrat working across the street from Lindsey's at the democratic office which is always empty. Maybe, we should stop in and ask you a few questions, wouldn't be hard to figure. You need to learn to pay your own way and get a job or two, become independent, you will feel proud.

you listen to too much fox news and Limbaugh. That stuff isn't news... its entertainment that couldn't be further from the truth.
I am independant for obama. don't be mad because people aren't ready to jump back on the republican banwagon. Republicans don't have a consistant platform... they are always flip flopping on issues based on who they are talkin to. Go ahead and shove your nose in the air... but I bet ya Obama wins Ohio!
