I was in a gas station in town today I saw a young man and a young woman and I have got to ask this. What in the hell is with people getting "sleeves" of tattoos or giant stars in the middle of their throats? How in the hell do you EVER expect to begin a CAREER with something ugly like that in plain view? I have a tat myself. But, Jesus Christ what the hell are you idiots thinking? There is no way in hell I would ever hire you and I would venture to guess you might not even be able to find a job at Walmart or taco bell with that.

If they are not offensive tattoos what should it matter? I know people who work in the medical field who have sleeve tattoos. It's not like they cannot be covered by long sleeves. It's 2013 people like to express them selfs. I say go for it. Just keep it classy.

I have a tattoo that is difficult to cover. I have to say that it has caused me some trouble finding work. I have had jobs working with the public and I had to wear collared shirts to conceal it. That being said, I do not regret getting it. If you can't see past the ink, it is your loss. I am a good worker and bring a lot of good assets to the table. I have advice to potential employers. Don't be so superficial, that you miss the opportunity to employ the right person for the job. You can't judge a book by it's cover.

I think "ink" that is that pronounced is just an expression of poor judgement. Can you imagine an attorney being taken seriously in a court of law with a damned tattoo on his neck/face, etc? Then again, I also doubt that the people who get this crap done would ever be able to get into, pay for, or graduate from law school. The good news is, we still need ditch diggers!

do you see the people that have all these tats talking bad about you for not having a bunch of tats? And if they did would it bother you or make u run out and get loaded up with them? So why talk bad about someone who has choosen to get them they have a choice just like you have a choice not to get them. Moral is we (tattooed people) dont think you are a bad person or judge you for not getting them so why think we are bad or judge us?

You sound like a @ ss hole! I don't think they would want to work for you any ways. If you look at some one skin and wont hire them because of that you are crazy and are missing out on a lot of good workers. Get with the times!

I was at a mall a few days ago and saw a girl with the most perfect legs I had ever seen. As she turned around I noticed that she had a huge tribal tattoo on her shin. Why ruin perfection, people?

I know several tattooed people who are very successful in fields ranging from medical to engineering to molecular science. If your good at what you do, work hard and have a good attitude you can do whatever you want. Who wants to work for a judgemental tyrant anyway?

This is why ppl remain poor. They are unemployable by society standards. I've even heard of ppl financing their tats. Talk about priorities. Probably on welfare and making payments on their ink. Gotta love America!

Did anyone see the National Geographic special on tattooing in prison? They showed some inmates who had inked the whites of their eyes! How could one even hold still for that?

Some people on here sound so shallow. Tattoos are beautiful if done correctly and placed in the right areas. I agree they can hinder someone getting a job but if the person is smart they know to wear clothes that cover them up while going to job interviews. Anybody and everyone has them. I say unless they are effecting you leave people alone about them. It's not you or your buisness so mind your own.
