Can someone PLEASE tell me why people who never had children of their own, or have never really even spent that much time around them feel that they are qualified to give parenting advice????? These people are so blatantly ignorant to the realities of raising kids.People like to throw their two cents in... whether they have any clue what they're talking about or not. Will even go as far as telling you, child psychologists are wrong and they are right

Why listen to them?

These are your kids. You raise them how you see fit. Child psychologists can be helpful, but you should know your kid better than anyone else. You spend the most time with them. You know their style of clothes, favorite foods, friends, pet peeves etc, right?

When I chose to correct my kids: I think of the senerio. Sometimes I spank, sometimes I scold, other times its time out, grounding, but each kid is different. Each parent is different. Each situation is different.

If it works for you and your child........do it! Don't 2nd guess yourself EVER!

Having a child does not automatically qualify you as a good parent. duh. Take a look around. This town if chocked FULL of worthless parents. You got mad because someone without children knows more than you about raising kids.

Before I chose to have kids....I spent years around them: studying their behavior & such. I could handle 18-23 (3 yr olds) and keep them all content in my preschool classroom.

I agree completely with Fear and Yippers. Just because you decide to lay on your back or lay with some circleville whore that does not automatically make you a recipient of parent of the year.( even though David Cornwell seems to think so." Just because someone doesnt have kids doesnt mean they lack common sense... and alot of times thats all parenting needs... Now if only we could get more people who are worthless and clueless to stop producing we would have it made!

Thank you!

The first one I posted....was hard for me to word considering RememberN1991 has called me a BAD PARENT on many of threads for being proactive about my son's health all those years ago. I can say his neonatal pediatrician is shocked every Sept at the reunion, because he beat the odds.

Just because someone doesn't have kids does not mean that they can't give you proper advice. They are simply telling you what they would do if they did have babies. I know plenty of people out there who don't have BeBe's that could raise em better than half the tards out there that DO!

Hey, I was a “better” parent before I had kids too. Don’t get the wrong idea, it’s not that I have a thing against the childless population – oh hell no. I have a thing against the smarty pants childless types who insist on sharing their inexperienced and unsolicited advice. These people are quick to discuss daycare, potty training, vaccinations, discipline and the crazy ideals of being a good parent.

Those are the ones you don't let get to you. Let it roll of ur shoulders. Don't worry...when they do have kids they will be making the same mistakes or trying innovative ideas.

More are headed this way. Its part of living in this area. I work the 3rd shift to at Job#2 (11-7am) but I napped when I got in. Some of the local truckers witnessed quite a disturbing scene yesterday. I'm sure I will hear more stories tonight.
But GOOGLE the story of "Pecos Bill" and like him all Texans are fearless.

Texans are fat idiots. Nothing good ever came out of Texas, and you are living proof of that.
