Anyone on here ever have a probation officer tell you because I can? Like going through your cell phone which by the way is illegal. Only California allows that. Look it up. In Ohio they have to have a search warrant. So from now on don't let tj overstep and look through your cell phone. Hey probation iys against the law.

You sign a paper when being put on probation that pretty much gives them the right to look and search anything that belongs to you. If you didn't have anything illegal or incriminating on your phone it wouldn't matter..:)

Hey stupid people!!! Read yur own words!!! It's illegal in New York!!! This is Ohio Stupid! Different laws apply to different states in this Country unfortunately. For instance you murder someone here in Ohio, you'll probably do life or less:-( You murder someone in Texas, they'll give you lethal injection, the electric chair ect.
They actually use the Death penalty:-) In english to you people, "Different States= Different Laws" That's our system in this country & it blows.

your absolutely right they have u sign that paper so its not illegal for them to go through ur phone when your on probation ur po has every right to go through anything that u own ur phone purse/wallet ur home ect. thats part of being on probation yes it sucks but thats the way it is but if you dont want them to go through your phone then tell them you dont have one and when u report dont take it with u but if they stop u on the street then ur screwed unless theres someone with u then say its theres

No thats not legal. What you sign is that you will submit to a search of your person, place of residence or motor vehicle. It does not state on the ohio papers that you have to submit a search to anything they want

well then i guess you probably shouldnt let someone on probation live with you then... seeing as how if your residence is on their probation forms they can search any fucking thing they want. doesnt matter if you allow it or not they can bring the cops into it and FORCE you to let them search because you would be obstructing... learn your law before you try and act like a hard ass again thanks.... ALSO im real sick of people who are felons acting like they have rights...Once you break the law u forfeit your rights until your debt to society is paid in full so stop belly aching about how your rights are being impeded upon...yeah well you infringe on my right that you pos's are still breathing but you dont see my whining that i cant off you do you? so shut the fuck up...
