This is only for the unions, not the kids.
It's the same story heard in every district when they want to pass a levy.
Do you HONESTLY think isn't for the students?! As a teacher, I can assure you that students would benefit from this levy. I'm not saying that it will make everything better, but students would definitely benefit from having safer, updated buildings.

You people are crazy. I have a child on high school and grand kids in elementary at Logan elm. I could care less if they have ac but they definitely need new buildings. The elementary buildings are falling apart literally. And of leaving a school in Laurelville gets the Levy padded then i say go for it. Vote yes for the kids.

This levy/ bond issue still won't pass due to the ignorance of Hocking County residents. They have kept this from happening for the last 5 years. This district just needs to disappear and send the kids to surrounding districts. My rent goes up each year and they get school taxes out of my paychecks. They can't seem to get this crap together, so I'm voting no, if I'm still down here. Moving out to a better place.

ABSOLUTELY IT IS ALL ABOUT THE UNION.
Of course you would be for it if you're a teacher.

I would be really worried if the teachers weren't advocating for the students of LE!! Wow!! This entire thread is just sad and embarrassing.
Let Laurelville Pay

If Laurelville wants to keep their school for K-3 then let them pay for all the repairs to that school. Everyone else shouldn't have to put out money for them to get what the want. That's not fair to everyone else in Logan Elm District. Just because there isn't a school in Laurelville isn't going to close the town down. How many K-3 graders shop at their stores and what may a dozen or so teachers??? They are being ridiculous. If they don't want to be a part of Logan Elm then send your kids to Logan and see what kind of education they get.

The teachers are advocating for their own lazy rear ends. They don't give a hoot about the kids parents spending more money for taxes, and taking food, clothing and shelter away from the kids.

Every district fails to keep up maintenance on the buildings to make this propaganda open. If they haven't maintained the old buildings, what makes you believe they will take care of new ones? That's not a good track record to be proud of, is it?

How does this levy even benefit teachers? If they consolidate jobs will be lost. I'm guessing most teachers don't want that.

I guess if I was a "renter" and had no tax liability I would be calling everyone selfish that is against the levy...par for the course. Secondly, we already had a vote of no and the "Special Election" to push an agenda through that has already failed angers me. The structure of a building does not equate to "quality education". I VOTE NO.

Of all the idiotic comments on this thread, yours is the most laughable.
Unfortunately, your unrealistic views are only hurting the children and the community of Logan Elm!

Put a pitched roof on the high school, run ac ontop the present roof to each classroom.
The state is changing over to required hours instead of days so just cut the last few hours off the school day the fist and last months of the year, you know, the hot ones.
The older schools are not new, but none of the inspectors or insurance companes are saying its a safety issue, and I am willing to bet they know more than you and your nickel school tour.
These people fit into 2 groups: those who want to keep p with the jone's, and those who believe every liberal cause that comes their way. And how darn those poor hocking co folk vote down this school they ask. Oh I don't know, maybe due to the fact they can barely make ends meet as it is.
But I guess that's normal.

Sorry but you better check your info more thoroughly. I rent and my landlord told us that if the levy passes, our rent would go up. I also work 2 jobs and have school taxes coming out. So some renters do pay if the levy passes. Not just property owners. This school system has slowing sucked all support out of me and all positive thoughts of it ever gonna pass. Between the bullying issues, I have dealt with this last school year and the stupidity of teachers and principals, I have no desire for this levy to pass. If it does pass, we will move. Tim Williams sucks at his job and will continue to suck. This district is doomed!!!!
