Hmmm really?
Well according to the latest test scores, Logan Elm actually had the best in the county! Voting no would be a poor decision for the staff, residents and, most importantly, the students of Logan Elm! If it does not pass, eventually LE will be phased into the surrounding districts and there will no longer BE a Logan Elm.
god be good

I hate when people give idle threats. That's what the school levy people were told to say to get the levy passed. So is that the way there going to play this. Also I'm not paying to fix up
Laurelville school makes no sense.

The whole purpose of levy is for a central school now they want k-3 graders from Washington pickaway and saltcteek to gp one place but Laurelville k-3 remodel school please what a joke No is my vote

That's what the people of Laurelville and hocking county asked for. They thought the town would go downhill without the school down there. The majority said they would vote yes if it was planned out like this. Win-win for everybody. Great test scores, great school even with old technology, old buildings and the lowest paid staff (teachers) in the county.

You really have no idea how difficult it is to run a school district. I say they don't pay him enough. I wouldn't want the job.

You guys are selfish you are NOT thinking about the kids what so ever. i just graduated from there and it was very miserable in the summertime with NO A/C and the Bathrooms are horrible so please for once quit thinking about everyone else and think about those kids. You don't realize it is gonna pass either this coming August or when ever, but your the idiot for NOT voting YES, because you are going to be paying more out of your pocket in the long run, because it will pass. So if I was you and most of you seem to hate Logan Elm move out of the School District if you hate it that much don't send your kids there. Look at every school around us Teays Valley, Circleville, Westfall, Amanda, Hamilton, Washington CH, etc. They all have NEW schools, but Logan Elm doesn't and yet we had the best test scores in the county for the past 4 years. So please people I'm not telling you to VOTE Yes or No, but just think about those little kids who have NO A/C throughout the summertime and have to use nasty bathrooms. Just please give it a thought I love Logan Elm and the community we have and It would be a shame to send those poor kids to that school for another 8 years if it doesn't pass.....

If you think about it, every one says LE needs new schools, but look at TV, Circleville, Westfall, and Amanda they all have new schools and everyone says that new schools will improve the learning ability of the children. The old schools LE has sure hasn't stunted the learning if they have the best test scores in the county with old schools. Maybe there is something to say for the old way of learning in the old buildings. LE wastes so much money on busing every year that maybe a new school could be built. Why does a bus driver that lives in Laurelville not pick up their first rider until they get to Logan Elm Village? What is the bet if the Levy passes in August that the school for Laurelville will be nixed????

I'm pretty sure this Tyler actually is a teacher there , another drunk with a gambling addiction. The last I heard , straight from this teachers mouth is how they all can't wait to get off work to head to the bars. Now back to the levy , Amanda faculty said they were about to shut the doors a couple years ago after they built that huge school they realized that they were way over budget. I do agree that these kids need some improvements on the school but not a new one. So fix the A/C and the restrooms and go from there. If they put $20,000 into that school that's a smart investment , sinking a million dollars for a new school is a one way ticket to hell !!!!

Logan Elm needs to do an open house for everyone to come see the school. It's quite pathetic. Better yet, take pictures and send out flyers door-to-door to let everyone know just how bad it is. Its absolutely overdue. I agree though, we dont need something insanely new and high tech, but something decent. Repairs aren't going to do justice in my opinion.
I agree

Toledo, OH

#17 Jul 6, 2014
Well I'm pretty sure you are right that its way past the point to do repairs because I'm pretty sure there's mold in the school and asbestos tile on the floors. I just know these other schools built them like they were in Beverly Hills and sorry but were not . $20,000 in cameras and security is a little extreme if you ask me , but the kids do deserve to at least be safe and comfortable will they are there 8hrs a day.

I say the people that want the new schools let them pay for it. How does that sound. You vote yes just your taxes go up you want it so bad.

They can just add ac as there is a duct system in place. They don't want to as it is part of their battle cry for a new building.
Another is their cry that they need new technology. Which has nothing to do with building a school nor can a bond pay for it. Besides that, does an ipod work differently in a new building vs an old one? Do smart boards mount only on new block walls and not old ones?
They simply want a new building to keep up with the Jones. Its sad when their slogan is "Its our time". Reflects a child like envy.
