What is it with too many voters & politicians? Cutting police, schools, fire fighters & more. Considering selling parking garages & meters while buying the Kenwood Towers (primarily for it's parking garage) and still planning a streetcar that will cost a minimum of $30,000,000 per MILE & will NEVER even break even let alone make a buck while replacing buses that already serve the same route(s).
Then there's the fact that they think that Duke should absorb the cost of moving utilities that have a yet to be determined cost which means that each & every Duke customer will ultimately inccur the cost on their bills.
The whole issue is totally demented!
I have little against the streetcars themselves, but 1st the funding should be realistic, practical & in the best interest of the citizens.
