This smells like a deflection and cover up and now he can't testify about what happened in Libya. Why?

Bill Clinton didn't resign and there was DNA evidence there.

If you are a democrat and have something to hide the rules are always rewritten.

Petraeus had to resign. He had a mistress. A man with the Rank of a Four Star General cannot lead, if he is having an affair. The men with less rank would not, could not be held accountable, if a Four Star General is having an affair with a married woman, and she is his mistress. They are to set the example. This block head Neutral Party, has been listening to too much Fox News. You can't believe a word he says. He has been saying for months Obama was going to lose. I tried to tell him. He would not listen to reason. He is no more Neutral Party than Dick Cheney is a Democrat. He is nothing but a Republican. Stop following me Neutral, I am not the least interested in you. Go back and hang out in Louisville, at the gay bar where you live in the attic.

No, Petraeus can be subpoenaed to testify.

As for President Clinton, you forget that evidence is not necessarily proof of guilt, and the fact of the matter is that the U.S. Senate acquitted Clinton.

Republicans are entitled to their opinions, but those are the facts.

How is a general held to a higher standard than the President of the US? Your inconsistencies continue to mount like the booze bottles on your counter. Your blind support reminds me of your statement a few years ago, that you are fat due to an inactive thyroid. Sure, we all believe that.

Since it is Saturday it is your big night and you won't get to this until Monday. But when you do think about this.

So the media continues to go lite on this subject. So many unanswered questions as to when this was actually found out about and the timing of the resignation right after the election and before he would have had to answer questions.

I hope these so called journalists don't go soft on this one too. There are way too many timelines and people that could have done something prior to last week.

After all, this is a national security issue. America awaits to see if their really is a legitimate press out there.

It turns out that the House Majority Leader, Eric Cantor (R-Virginia), knew about the Petraeus affair with Paula Broadwell back in October 2012, well before the election. But he chose not to go public with the information.

They are NOT held to a higher standard. It is just that Petreus has more HONOR than a certain previous president

Clinton was tried for lying under oath. NOT for having a wandering Willie. There's a difference
