I hear these stores are closing mainly because nobody goes there anymore because they are always so crowded.

WalMart was supposed to replace Sams Club with something new and revolutionary. What is it?

Walmart is opening strip clubs in the old Sam's stores, as soon as their liquor licenses come through. My Mom was offered a job there a couple of weeks ago. Looks like they'll be opening late November. It's by membership only, keeps the crowd classy.

I highly doubt this statement you've made, LaShondra, is correct. Sam's Clubs in Henrietta and Syracuse closed because the person who owned that franchise left the state and competitor BJ's was taking all of their costumers.

Alot of big box stores have closed in Birmingham, Al. Why? Because blacks steal them blind. Thats a fact and yes it is a black issue. Birmingham is 80% black. Especially where the stores are closing. Bessemer, Ensley, and Centerpoint. Look yourself

Sam's Club is not a franchise, you twit. They are owned by Walmart.

Did you see that SAM's Club's competitor was Free today???

I guess you can't say Free and the name of the store or topix will delete it.

I'm not a twit! Sam's Clubs are owned by Walmart indeed. But you do not understand what the term "franchise" means. Google it if you don't know.

Walmart has announced heavy losses due to Amazon competition. Looks like Walmart will be closing many of their stores (rumored to be over 75 stores) in the Northeast by December 1.

Amazon always has better prices. I'm a PRIME member. In good standing.

Cyndi, I've learned from experience that the Arses on this forum always find someone to hire to right B.S. on this site against women. Its rude, I know. They know you're not a twit (or any derugatory term they may use). The term "Franchise" isn't used to describe groups of Sam's Club stores. We call them a district. As a Walmart employee I know that the statement of somebody in charge of the Sam's Club operations in Syracuse and Henrietta moving out of state is actually misleading. That person didn't live in NY to begin with, actually living in Arkansas, but with Albany Corruption its highest and an increase of business at BJ's and Costco, the stores closed. They tried to get people to keep membership but in the end it just didn't make sense to keep Wholesale Club stores open when there is a lack of people able and willing to shop there.
