uncontrollable has not offended me in any way I am a "B" but that would be Miss B lol took me all these years to profect the "B" that I am glad someone took notice.
On a lighter note Ann was adamant that I was also stating children should never be let out.
Let me say it again LOUD AND CLEAR!!
Pets just like children should be SUPERVISED not just let out to roam the streets. I personally hate having to clean up someones cat doo-doo in my grandchildrens sand box, cleaning it out of my flower beds, I hate having to spray my trash with ammonia to keep the loving roaming pets out of it on trash day. You know, the annoying little things that could be resolved if one leashes their family member (pet) and keeps a watchful eye on them when they are outside romping instead of roaming.
LOL...aaahhh the childhood memories of playing in the sandbox, you grab a big ol hand of sand and ::squish:: kitty poo!!! My dad ended up making a lid for the box. Thanks for taking me back!!

Now I've lost all my marbles! Why are people so feisty or just downright "harsh" as Kris put it, to each other on here? With all the violence, why do we have to be mean to each other?

OMG! That is one weird coincidence! And one weird cat name, too! No, I'm a big IRL fan and we always use the term "Pitstop" in our family for taking a break, which is what I'm doing now. That is funny! How did your kitty get a name like that?

I was only about 2 or 3 so you know I didnt name him. I heard there was a cartoon of some sort and one of the characters was Penelope Pitstop. And I am not sure about the marbles. I have never seen another pet named Pitstop!!

Everyone here should understand that it is a proven scientific fact that most serial killers started out killing pets. Catch them quick, otherwise they might escalate their crimes quicker. I'm more worried about human lives than the lives of pets.

The story clearly shows the cats were outside unsupervised so HAD THEY BEEN LOVED AS FAMILY MEMEBERS AS THE LADY IN THE STORY STATED
THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN INSIDE SUPERVISED WITH THE FAMILY!!!
I am owner of Girlie Girl one of the cats killed...and you are ignorant...for one thing...someone came onto MY property and took my cat!! The evidence was there. For another thing, why would you ever think that someone is going to steal your cat, torture and kill it? She was an outdoor pet because she was a stray to begin with. She stayed in my yard. So unless you have ALL the facts, base your opinions on what little you know. Thanks!!!

People do some of the sickest things to animals. A friend of mine has a cat she rescued. She works at a vet clinic. One day she was sitting at her desk, and a woman walked in, threw a cat on the counter, and took off like a bat outta hell. The cat had been tortured. It had a fractured pelvis, cigarrete burns all over its body, its whiskers were burned down to nubs, and it had an innertube from a bicycle stuffed down its throat. With much tender loving care it survived, and she took it home with her. It's still alive today, and that happened many years ago. It's horrific that a person would do such a horrible thing to an animal. They never caught whoever did that, but I firmly believe karma will bite them in the butt.

Although I do not agree with everything that poster had to say you calling the person ignorant was uncalled for. You must not recall Jeffery Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Gacy, just a few world wide known serial killers and their history of killing animals.

How you try and play innocent about this situation is beyond me but to call some one ignorant for your mistake shows your true colors Becky.

my cat suffered trauma to the head,
he is now blind in his left eye,
and his top left molar is cracked.
his eye might have to be removed,
and his tooth needs to be removed.
i want something done about it,
but it happened at night, when
we were out for a walk.
i am pregnant so i couldnt run as
fast as i wish i could have.
i heard him meow in pain, then i saw
someone run into their house.
i called the humane officer
but he was no help, telling me
to keep my cat on my property.

im going to do something so there
will be animal rights in indiana.

Animals have the right to be protected at all times. It is not mine or Animal Controls problem if something happens to your pet because you chose to break the law. Yes those of you that had animals injured or killed broke the law. They are to be leashed and or confined to your property.

I am sick of scraping your pets off the sidewalks and streets and pulling them out of ditches because you choose not to take the time to control your pets as you should. Im sick of taking complaints about how your pet was mistreated by the well known neighborhood bully because you allowed your pet to roam free or because you were to lazy to supervise them outside.

These people that mutilated these pets deserve a very stiff penalty but the pet owners should be fined for not properly controlling their pets. If I were that towns Animal Control person you owners would be fined to the fullest extent of the law also.

Thanks for your post but name calling on here does not bother me. I'm sure she has asked her self several times what if.

Nope... and if you knew ANY of the details... DETAILS... and you do not know anything about me or mine... nobody has the the right to step onto my property to do anything!! Even Spit in the freakin wind... no one had the right to come on my property and grab my cat... so until you self righteous opinionated people do KNOW what really happened, shut the hell up! Opinions are like a**holes.. everybody's got one!
Ahem.. thanks to everyone that does have a heart.

I am only 11 years old but i am a animal lover. I think that all living and breathing things should be treated equally. i have nine cats myself and four horses, three goats and of course my best freind buddy the dog. and i love them all and i would be devistated if this happened to any one of them.

Sweetie, you really should not be reading about all this violence and then posting things that include your name and city. Are your parents aware that you're doing this? I applaud your concern for the animals, but you should not be posting on this kind of forum, nor reading what's on Topix.

The "cat" only loves you because of centuries of SELECTIVE BREEDING! The cats which exhibited good behaviour towards humans were given the privilege to breed, thats definetly not what GOD wanted!!! We changed the way the animal acts!!!

To Valerie,

Its just a cat!!! Be glad your kid is still healthy and stop loving a dumb animal that never wanted to be a part of your "family" anyways. It was a waste of money to fix your cat when a new one would have been ALOT cheaper.

That animal does NOT love you in any traditional sense. It simply makes the best out of a terrible situation YOU trapped it in. Animals deserve to be free and not purchased as toys for children when the parents are too preoccupied to be their friend. Buying a family memeber to keep your kids happy and teach them responsibilty, now thats the American way!!

Defenseless animals should not be trapped in homes, bred for money, selected for looks,or fed a diet chosen by humans.

and Becky,

The cat stayed in your yard? I for one am glad you keep your pets on 24 hour surveillance. So since you know that your animal didnt leave your place, please TELL ME, who came onto your property?

Humans should not decide which animals get to live comfortable inside our house and which ones get killed.
