It looked like the trailblazer was hit from behind, so he may not have been at fault.

Hey, I think we should not put blame on anyway and especially on here. The Kidder family is hurting enough, they have lost a part of them! Let's try to be nice and think about them.

yeah, two people know what happened, and one is dead, so the other person never gets his side of the story challenged.

Agreed! A tragedy happened that night, and we may never learn the truth. But let us all learn something from this.... We need to be safe drivers and wear seatbelts! Too many times, lives could've been saved if only seatbelts were on.
Everyone needs their grieving time, and no one needs to speculate on why, what if, or what happened. We can all agree that no parent wants to be in the Kidder family's shoes, so instead of speculating, let's be safe and always keep Nick and his family in our prayers..... He touched many lives, and left an impression on us all.

I am very sorry for the family's loss. I can tell you that Seth Mooney was coming West on the Branch Hwy, going from Branch towards Hwy 13. He did not have a stop sign. The trailblazer was going very fast and never paused. He may not have seen the stop sign. There was not even enough time to break. The police report and eye witnesses will prove this. Speculation such as Seth Mooney not watching is extremely hurtful and untrue. He is lucky that he and his wife were not killed by a driver who ran a stop sign. I think that these people should be petitioning to put up a caution light instead of putting lies like this on the internet.

Also, The other vehicle who was parked at the opposite stop sign had 4 passengers who saw everything and it is not just one person's word against someone else's.

first off, Nick did not run a stop sign Seth moony was drunk and he was the one who ran the stop sign so why don't you know what you are talking about before you put shit on here. And for all of you that says if he would have had his seatbelt he would have lived that is not complety true, he might have had a greater chance of living but that does not mean he wouldn't have died. It was nicks time to go and we should not question that.

Ok, enough of this stuff!! There are people hurting because of a terrible loss and everyone is on here putting all kinds of stuff. If you were there then fine maybe you know what happened, if you were not there keep your mouth shut..If you put things on here that your hear, you know that it is probably bullsh*t. I think it was Nick's time I also feel that things would have happened the same way seat belt or no seat belt...You know we are all on borrowed time, God needed him in heaven with him..Rest in Peace Nick. Everyone should be praying for the Kidder family instead of talking all this mess, we never know when it will be our turn..

first off the town of cp don't know a thing. so stop acting like everyone know's what happened, cause you don't. secodly theres no way if he passed a stop sign he would of got hit that hard. and futher more, nick will never get to say his side of the story so how about everyone who isn't family just pray and STOP trying to be all investigators. and i agree with pissed off guy! ;)

Please have some respect for Nick and his family.
Leave this topic alone, you are only adding more pain. When you curse,(cuss) and use horrible grammar and misspelled words, it doesnt lend to your credibility. Please stop stirring in this, leave it to the investigators, and just support Nicks family. None os us know what actually happened, except for the witnesses. There is no need to bash anyone. Nick is gone, please pray for his family,

To all the people commenting on the death of our sweet young boy:
I was born and raised in CP and left 18 yrs ago for many reasons but one that is on the top of the list is "GOSSIP". NONE OF YOU know anything about what truly happened. The people involved in the accident will certainly say what protects them from having VEHICULAR HOMICIDE charges against them. The only who REALLY KNOWS THE TRUE STORY IS NICK and he is no longer here to defend himself. Everything else is ASSUMPTION and SPECULATION. There will be a long & hard investigation into this matter by the best attorneys available and THEY WILL GET TO THE BOTTOM of this whole ordeal.
All of our family is grieving tremendously and are suffering a huge loss, especially his mother. The loss of a child is something no one can imagine
unless you have lost one. Parents are not suppose to bury their children. So to all who are saying this and that, who they think was at fault or how it happened, YOU NEED TO STOP AND WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN SONS, GRANDCHILDREN, NEPHEWS, BROTHERS AND FRIENDS and leave our family out of your gossip and let us GRIEVE IN PEACE BECAUSE you MAY BE IN OUR SHOES ONE DAY.
WE LOVE YOU NICK......REST IN PEACE
