why does it cost so high for 12 pages of nothing?i'm out of school,and don't go to church.

I don't find the Church Point News to have as much information or should I say news as it did years ago. How do you guys feel?

It really is a piece of crap paper. Sadly I have to admit that I am a subscriber. I enjoy reading about how many crack heads get arrested that I went to high school with. I wish they would bring back the police blotter, that was the highlight of the paper for me.

If there isn't much news why do you think events that took place in May are just now being put in there? I'm kinda getting tired of old graduation news and pictures.

You Know if anyone has news or pictures that they want to appear in the newspaper the ladies working there are always more than happy to accomodate you.Everytime i have brought a picture or wanted to write about my kids graduating,winning awards or my taking vacation they told me to bring any news i might have,this goes for all residents of CP.

IT IS REALLY ASHAME THAT SOME PEOPLE OF THIS COMMUNITY WOULD CHOSE TO ATTACK THE CP NEWS PAPER STAFF.
THEY CANNOT PRINT WHAT IS NOT BROUGHT TO THEM. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT ANYTIME ACTIVITIES ARE GOING ON, THERE IS ALWAYS A MEMBER OF THE CP STAFF THERE TO TAKE PICTURES AND WRITE ARTICLES FOR FUTURE PRINTING AT NO COST TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
THERE ARE SO MANY SCHOOL AND SUMMER ACTITIES GOING ON, THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PRINT EACH ARTICLE OR PRINT EACH PICTURE IN ONE WEEKLY PRINTING.
I ENJOY THE VARIETY READINGS. I WAIT FOR MY CP NEWS EVERY WEDNESDAY .
I READ EVERY WEEK ABOUT SCHOOL ACTIITIES, SCHOOL HONOR ROLL,AND AWARDS FROM SURROUNDING AREA SCHOOLS, AREA CHURCH SERVICES, ACADIA PARISH LIBRARY ACTIVITIES, HOSPITAL BOARD MEETINGS, ACTIVITIES AND HEALTH SERVICES THAT ARE OFFERED, BIRTH AND WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND.
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FROM CITY HALL,AND LEAST WE FORGET NEWS ABOUT OUR POLICE AFFAIRS, ETC.
THAT SEEMS LIKE A LOT (plenty) OF UP-TO-DATE NEWS FOR A WEEK, AT THE LOW COST OF ONE DOLLAR AN ISSUE.
AFTER YOU FINISH WITH YOUR NEWSPAPER, BRING IT TO SOMEONE AT THE LIBRARY, CITY HALL OR NURSING HOME TO SOMEONE WHO WOULD ENJOY READING THE PAPER.
SOME OF OUR ELDERLY WOULD LOVE READING THE COMMUNITY TOWN NEWS, BUT MAY NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD A PAPER FEE.

Pride for 50 plus years ... thank you for your input. I feel the same as you. Mrs. Diane and her staff are remarkable people indeed.
I also pray for Mrs. Diane and her family on the death of her dear mother. May her mother's soul rest in peace with all the departed within the gates of Heaven.

This little paper has been there for us as long as I can remember. Thank God there are no big catastrophic events that other papers a made of.
We are a little town, far from perfect, but better than some. I am now 50 years old and I can still remember Miss Diane taking pictures wherever she was called to. We have been fortunate to have this paper, perhaps we should all be a little more grateful for the gift of having it. We live in a time when it's become fashion to complain and moan about any little thing, overlooking the gifts we have. Thank you staff of Church Point News for then, and now.

I am not attacking the newspaper or the staff. I also believe Mrs. Diane and the others are doing a great job. Yes, I also have seen them at many functions. What I am trying to say is I wish more residents of the community would contribute to the newspaper.

It's a good paper if you're interested in photos from birthday parties that took place 2 months prior to publication, or if you're interested in photos from nursing home olympics and trips to fishing ponds, or if you like to constantly be reminded that tennis balls are needed for walkers, or if you like piss-poor articles related to "the" high school football team in the town while the Catholic school in Crowley has articles written by people who actually know the sport.

I love getting my newspaper every Wednesday and I agree with another poster....thank God we do not have a whole lot of catastrophic news. The staff at CP News has always been very courteous when I have had dealings with them. Keep up the good work!
