As watching football from my own son, this year it seems as the Steelers seem to be the team that haven't been beat as of yet. The one thing I am concerned about is the coaches of the cheerleaders do NOt have a clue when to do cheers and when NOT to do cheers. They are young girls who apparently have NO experience and frankly have been laughed at several time because they seem to stare at a clipboard. They showed their lack of intelligence when they did a touchdown cheer when the other team had the ball, first game! I was told the team was supposed to have their MOM coaching, but she allowed her girls to do this. Many other teams Moms have stated their concern. Although it is supposed to be fun, how many teams do you see teens teaching? There are only so many cheers you can learn off the internet!! YOU dont cheer when a player is hurt either! But some moms are in the click together so their girls could cheer and wont come out and say it, but I thought it was supposed to be an adult????? some were tricked by this and they are un-organized!!! Although they are cute lil girls, experience is a major factor, you can have a teenager teach something they dont have a clue about!!! Wake up church hill dept director!!All the other coaches are questioning why??

the coaches of the steelers are not teenagers. One is 19,married and has a child. the other is 18 and engaged to be married. Yes this is their first year of coaching and they have made some mistakes but gosh people this is powerderpuff football. kids are ranging from 5-12 or so. I think the girls are doing just fine. They took a bunch of girls who wanted to cheer and who weren't on a team and gave them a squad to be on. Give them a break.

When my son played ball I was there to watch the game not the cheerleaders. So i know that this is not a ball players mom. It's a pissed off cheerleader mom who didn't get a chance to help. The coaches are doing a great job and the girls are haveing a great time. I'm behind the coaches 100%. So don't speak for me. Can't wait till next year to do it all again. I'll be right there to cheer the coaches along. Love you girl your the best.

Are you kidding me? Who gets on here and bashes a Cheerleading Coach? This is my daughters first year of cheering along with my niece and for anyone to think they have a right to put this cheer team down u need a life. Your comments not only affect the coaches but also the girls. My god this is little league and last I checked they don't get paid for what they do anyway. If you don't like what they do, then don't watch. Also for u to know what cheers they do then u must be a parent who got their feelings hurt. My god leave it alone, grow up, and pray that ur kid don't realize that u did this. I mean crap I think everyone has heard of Top Gun if people want their kids to pursue cheerleading at a greater level call them they r the professionals.
And if anyone wants to talk more on the topic U can find me at any Steelers game ask anyone they will point me out.

Lol, people, not a parent of any cheerleader. I have a boy who plays football. Sounds like the troop of the loud mouth south has gotten on here to buddy up. Yeah, who cares how many years they are 18, 38, you must know. No one said anything about TOP gun, they need to know the rules. AND WHEN to do so and when NOT to do so!

I am sure you are a buddy, since you must know the age. powerderpuff? of course you will take up for your friends! Ever think that maybe some people are entitled to have their opinions and when you are cheering when some one is down, well, they dont know much about football or the respect of what a parent in feeling when a player in laying on the ground!

ummm, well its not rocket science when someone is hurt NOT to cheer!! and who in the world got their feelings hurt??? I am sure you are teaming up to show ur comments for your "friends" ! MY kid wouldnt be on this team. I have better taste. So before you go pointing a finger, well, make sure you know what you are talking about as well. AND Mrs lawson, it is very dangerous to go and talk crap to someone you have no idea who it is. I think YOU need a life as well, and maybe a hobby, or maybe a job! We all have our own opinions, and the attitude shows as well as your maturity level!

Of course you are going to take up for your girls. NO cheerleader MOM here. I wouldnt have my girl on a cheer team. Whom am I NOT speaking to? I havent a clue. I simply observed and made my own opinion. and who is this pissed off cheer mom? Do you have one of those? I sit in the stands and if you had a boy, YOu listen to everything that goes on,so dont give me that line of crap....!! YOU dont cheer when a players down, you dont cheer a TOUCHDOWN cheer, I mean come on, everyone heard it. even some man when and told the girls down at the jamboree. When the other team has the ball. I have an opinion and of course you must have some trouble or you all wouldnt be saying the same thing! I listen quite well, and you mean to tell me that you goto a ballgame and dont pay any attention to what the cheers are??? HUH? well i ''ll be dog! YOur just one of the friends of the young cheer coaches. And if you dont believe me that it has been talked about, as around, you would be amazed at what you find! HA! ha, I bet I could come to a game a point you out! YOur just a cheerleaders MOM and friends with the people. AND well the parents of the players do deserve to have respect, so try next time stop thinking about your self......there are others in this world....sounds like this team has too many skeletons in the closet!!!!! hmmmm, well stop jumping to conclusions, you sound guilty!

well, I find this quite silly, to have you argue over who is a better coach..etc. Or to say who got hurt feelings anyways? It doesnt matter how old, who friends think they are great. They are quite inexperienced. AND most people who goto a game pay attention to the cheerleaders. LOL, I mean what are they there for if you dont pay attention to them, so I dont believe you when you say you dont. Aint it easy to defend a friend? We all know cheers, even if your werent a cheerleader at some point. I played in the band, I have a child, I goto games, I dont see how you cant pay attention??? And further more, if I had my feelings hurt and I had a girl on this team, I would pull her out if I had felt that way! I wouldnt go and write on topix. Because this is a small town, and people know who people are when they talk on here and those who made a donkey out of themselves, well, just shows you love trouble! and no one has to be on a team to say they dont like the way someone coaches. I personally couldnt care less who is married, or has a kid. I do however think there are some words of antimosity on here. And if I were a coach, I would respect everyones feelings, and not get my friends to start their words of well...whatever you call it. Thats what mature adults do! They respect their eldures, they dont go around being what it seems like to be a redneck! No one knows who wrote anything, and before u go on here with your name, make sure you know who you are dealing with. Because your actions will be in fact reported to the right person as being a trouble maker! So be very careful what you say on here, it might just come back to bite ya! Everyone can always point a finger, but ya see, 9 out of 10 times, it isnt the person they think!

oh and , some people LOVE to start on anything they just MIGHT know, and yes, you all know who does such a thing!

GO COWBOYS!!!

Why does everyone keep saying someone got their feelings hurt? Who cares?
Blah, Blah, Blah!! Brave obbie one...Glad you can tell us all your name!
I do have a right to any opinion..as well as you do! and for who ever you keep all saying the one who's feelings got hurt. well, If I were that person and I felt this way, I would give you a present..the finger! Seems like you are the one who needs to GROW UP!! Be careful what you say as someone said, YOu all must know one another, and Yes I was at the jamboree, but I am in no way shape or form a CHEERLEADERS mom from the Steelers. If I had a girl, I would simply pull her out! I just think this it is just hilarious! some one takes on a team and hasnt a clue what in the world they are doing! I will make sure the right person sees this! Words travel fast in a small town! LOL, fire cracker, fire cracker, BOOM, Boom, BOOM!!

Ok look this is so immature sure we might have made a few mistakes but just to let you know we have only made the mistake ONE time of not sitting when a player was hurt trust me I know what a mom would feel if it was there son and I have son so I can only imagine. As for everything else if all you guys thought you could do so much better why didn't you take up a squad and try to make it to where all the girls who wanted to cheer could? Its our first year cheering of course we are going to make a few mistakes but as for all the little comments GET OVER YOURSELF

To Charge It Up!! Get a grip, it's not the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders we are talking about here. It's little girls cheering ,some for the first time. How hurt would these girls feel if they knew there was such an idiotic mother putting them down. Perhaps you couldn't make the cheering team when you were little and you have deep seeded problems. Maybe that's why you are having such a problem with the girls now. Sounds to me like you need to seek therapy! If this is all you have to gripe about in life, YOU ARE BLESSED!
I'm glad Amy Lawson set your whiny ass straight.

Another person on here to defend...If you knew how to read, you would have read in many other posts that this ISNT a female, I am a MAN!!! and YES I dont care if they were Dallas cowboy cheerleaders. The point is and well in several writings about it is true about the maturity level is not where it is supposed to be. I dont have a problem with the girls, so you arent the rocket scientist you claim to be. I have a problem with people not paying attention to what they are doing, and well it affects people who arent there just to cheer. No one likes to be shamed and no one likes to be put on the spot. But the girls not paying attention, caught my attention and it was disrespectful. Some mistakes like forgetting to hold the pom poms right is one mistake, but not knowing the rules to know when to NOT do something is another! I would not want to be a cheerleader, and my kids are very athletic. No one sees the point here, you just like to slam a person for making a proven point of a disrespectful mistake. And its not the little ones fault they cheered when they were not supposed to, its the coaches fault. Just like any job, any club, anywhere you go. There are rules yo u follow, and when you break those rules, some will call you on it! And if you cant be respectful on here to know when someone is right, which I am, then you shouldnt be any part of little league! Be respectful to the parents. because it isnt all about the cheerleaders and players. The parents of the players parents are a part of it to. DID you you apologize to the player or the coach or the parent up in the stands when you disrespected them? NO, you didnt...you just shrugged and laughed! right after some lady yelled at you and told you to Stop! To be a coach, you have to be an adult, and you have to know what to say, and when to not! You have to how to roll with the punches and when to know you are wrong. I have a right, just as you do to say my peace. And its not always a woman that gets mad, WE men have a right to!!!

Charge it up, re-read your last post... Then...Practice what you preach!

Plus, on a further note... Teach the boys from the Steelers to do the same. Here you are bashing a group of young girls for doing something. Well, seems to me that the young boys on the Steelers team do not any better either. They did the same thing when playing another team. They continued to stand while a player was down on the field a few weeks ago. It's happened at some point in time with every team and it won't be the last.

These are kids who will make certain mistakes in life. They are all young, learning and growing. If your child knew what you were on here doing, I feel he would be darn right ashamed to call you mom at the moment. Small town, small group, so I'm sure your child is friends with some of these same people that you bashing. Your child has to attend school and other functions every day with these same children. Your not making his life any easier among his peers by your actions.

If you have a problem that you are not happy about, take it up with Mr. Patterson and the rest of the board for Church Hill Parks and Recreation. If need be, they will help you correct the problem (if there is a real problem). Otherwise, shut up already.
