This is b.s to begin with. People are so quit to jump all over anything that could be taken offensively. IT'S A DAMN JOKE! People crack jokes on whites, african americans, native americans, and much more. What would of happened if that had been a white joke, NOTHING. We all know that it would of blown over. If you don't like what someone says, get over it. Believe it or not, you yourself have probably offended someone else, it's life. Stop being so sensitive and touchy; get a sense of humor and learn to laugh.

Fire them? Sheesh! I am 1/2 Eskimo, I don't personally take offense to their comments.
What they said was insensitive and they should do some kind of community service along with an apology to show they're sorry.
I don't think they should be denied their jobs because of one "bad choice" of words! If this has occurred numerous times and they've been given countless chances, then I might think differently.
I also think if they were fired, it would be hard for them to get jobs due to all the negative publicity.
Bottom line, I think everyone has become overly sensitive. I don't take anything to heart unless a person says it directly to me in person.

Telling an offensive joke in the privacy of your home is bad enough; telling the same joke over the public airways, which are governed by laws, is downright WRONG!!! I find the joke offensive to ALL women, not just native women! If Woody & Wilcox's remarks are indictive all men's attitude towards women we have a very SERIOUS problem in this country!! I believe they should be fired and not allowed to work on public radio again!

way over blown, freedom of speech is also offensive speech!

they are not the first ones to say the same thing I have heard it before long ago. political correctness has gone to far. people need to grow some skin and quit sniveling.

"real men" will not make such lewd comments about women of any nationality....
these "two humans" have neon lights flashing above their heads, hoping to get noticed, looking for attention!
too bad these "professionals" have serious issues and need
someone to "love them" or even a hug.
just when you think this type of behavior is "bad memory"
and then along comes these two! "unbelievable" and they are allowed to continue??
come on now people, let's be real !

for the persons that have said to "get a sense of humor" or this is "overblown" is ...probably hiding their past and been verbally abused or worse..we don't need to teach our young that making lewd comments of any race is acceptable and something to laugh about! the vicious cycle of salandering people really needs to stop! I don't think it's funny at all. our society has enough problems and we can do with out "funny joke!" that are offensive!

Offensive? To most. Stupid? Yes, to most. Tasteless? Definitely, to most. Terminal? Nada.

Answer: Get over it! The constitution does not guarantee a "Right" of not to be insulted or exposed to dumbness.

Solution: Turn the dial. No listeners = No Sponsor

I just viewed the KTVA 5 o'clock news, and happened to catch the story about Native concern over the Woody and Wilcox
show. I am left wondering why KTVA conducted the interview of the Native woman with the Brown Jug Liquor store as the backdrop for the shot? A Native woman ranting in front of a liquor store is certainly not the image the native community is looking for. I just feel that it would have been easy enough to film this woman without the Brown Jug in the shot. I think KTVA might need to take look at how much respect they are giving to the native people by portraying them in such a way.

It's good that the two radio hosts have been suspended for their remarks about Native American Women. However, I feel that since this isn't the first time these two clowns have made this kind of remark they should be fired. It is this kind of language that gets women killed. Remarks like this is no different from the Rap or Hip Hop songs that put women down, and who is listening to these supposely adults are the young people and it is set in their minds that women can be abused not only by the stupidity of these two white men, but by society in general. I demand that these men be fired and made to apologize.

All women are offended by the comment. Any women would. Why couldn't the two hosts use their own bodies or their wifes. Now that would be funny.

it's funny how those who never heard the comments or the context in which they were made are the first in line to attack their freedom of speech.

political correctness is not in our constitution!
freedom of speech is! grow up people.look at any adult comedy show and tell me they have not said things worse live on tv. dave chappell for instance or sara silverman. howard stern. come on it is their job to shock you and get a rise or if lucky a laugh. those who cry about their snivel rights being violated need to grow some thicker skin. white people take the brunt of verbal abuse in the media these days and you don't see them complaining and snilveling about it.
political correctness has made society weak!
it is time to end political correctness since it is a marxist and communist ideology it has no place in a free country like America!

WPWW- This is a little late, but however, Political Correctness is not in our consituation because at the time the consituation was writen it was writen at a time and place where no one else had a voice or was allowed to stand up for theirselves. And this is all it is about- Standing up for what we believe in and how we would like to be addressed and treated. Nothing wrong with that. Cultures tend to make jokes about their own culture because they understand it. When a person makes remarks about someone elses culture that isn't their own they haven't stepped into their shoes and walked in them. This is where the misunderstandings come to play and the confusion.

They should be suspended and take some common sense trainnig, then they should be shipped off to an isolated village to work in a fish camp for a month amoung native alaskans to see how beautiful the native Alaskans and there culture are and mabe learn some of the culture.Com ments like these over the media is just plain wrong and further distance us as americans and promotes racism...Im afro_American but im Alaskan first..

In your effort to control others, most of you on this blog have decided that the 1st amendment to the US Constitution is null and void. God help us (The USA) now that we no longer have free speech.

W&W freely said what they wanted,
nobody stopped them,
now they have to walk their talk,
