"Although the ranch has a small medical facility, Parker said any broken bones would have been treated away from the ranch and that doctors are required to report suspected abuse."

Right. Do you buy it? I didn't think so...

And do you really think a 13 year old girl wants to have a baby with a 50 year old man? What kind of life is that?
So what is an acceptable age for a woman to want to be with a 50 year old man? At what point does it become a "good" life.

Once she's 18, I don't care what age man she wants to be with. A 13-year-old should be making decisions about what color bow she wants in her hair, not whether she wants to be married to and raped by her 50-year-old daddy, the man who's supposed to love and protect her.

What is the difference between a sect, a cult, and a religion anyway?
It depends on who wants to live as they believe and who like Billy Bob want to judge, hate and control others.

Mormons are, in his eyes, a “sect” because they believe in a Christ that teaches: judge not lest ye be judged.

He see that as a false Christ because he can’t hate people if he believes in that Christ.

So if 18 is "ok" then why are we taking the children of those that are 18+ or older? She can choose, but she is incapable of raising a child?

Why are we willing to let children remain in drug environments where there is a known immediate threat versus a "possibility". It would appear that there is another agenda other than saving the kids, or else this would not be the only group targeted this way.

I also feel 18 is an approprite age for us to butt out of their business. But that doesn't seem to be the consensus of most here on the board.

What are the odds of them becoming pregnant, abused or killed while they are under the control of the state? Probably much higher then their old life.
The idea that to protect a few, all the children had to be taken is absurd. How soon before our families are taken under some other pretense?
To think that authorites can destroy a family without due process first is really scary.
Its been going on since the eighties, friend. Billions of dollars from social security with no accountability how the state actually spends it. In L.A county it was found that over 90% of their removals were done illegally just to tap that cash cow. Even more horrible was the fact that only 50% of those illegally removed children could go home again as the so called services had destroyed their families

I just read Dorothy Allred Solomons book Daughter of the saint Growing up in Polygamy. It was excellent eye opener on what really goes on. I do not keep my books. I bought this one straight from amazon.com and read it once. My seller name is Leslie Morgan if anyone is interested in it.

How terrible. These girls know nothing else in life. They've been segregated and taught this 'way of life' and they think it's normal. They don't know that this is molestation and rape.
Many of these girls know nothing of the outside world. I fear that once they are placed in a 'normal life' they will have a huge culture shock as to the rest of America's way of life.
Oh yeah! Will they ever have a cultue shock. Now the children will be able to go to public school where they will not be able to wear a cross because the muslim freak in the burka is offended, and the dresses they wear are not the proper style so they will be attacked verbally and physically. They will be exposed to teen sex and drugs of all kinds. If they wear the wrong colors they run the risk of getting shot, and then they get to go to dances where gang banging akon lips act out rapes on the dance floor and they will call it ethnic expression. But at least we saved them from all that safe and peacefully family life.

Why is it bad for a child to live a normal life?
Is being in prison and being abused everyday better for them?

What age would you consider legally to get raped?

This from a person who thinks they're smart by quoting Wikipedia.
In my response, I wasn't quoting anything, it was my opinion, which is why I said "I think". I didn't say I know for a fact. The part I said about the FLDS people growing their own grain was from an interview I saw on CNN.
I'm not sure if you went to college or not, but at a credible university, Wikipedia isn't allowed to be used as a source since ANYONE can go in and change the information.
From your quote, how many people in that percentage are from this 'cult'? Your quote lists the city in general and mentions nothing about the FLDS members.
Yeah I quoted Wikipedia, and the source was from the Los Angels Times. I wish you could read and carry a thought. You can't attack the message so you do the next best thing in your eyes and attack the messenger. I do wish you would grow up.

And you are quoting CNN! Talk about an agenda? They will twist the truth or straight out lie. Most news reporting has an agenda, so you have to go to many sources, which is what I do, and it seems that you only listen to what you want to hear.

Probably because CPS are known fcuking liars, and the FLDS had complied with the laws all along.

To wit:

"SAN ANGELO, Texas -- At least half the mothers taken from a polygamist sect's ranch and put in child foster care have now been declared adults, significantly chipping at agency statistics that seemed to demonstrate the widespread sexual abuse of underage girls.
Attorneys for the state's Child Protective Services agency have been conceding, one by one, that many of the mothers authorities cited as evidence that the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints committed widespread sexual abuse of girls are actually adults.
They had admitted by midday Thursday that 15 of the 31 mothers listed as underage are adults; one is actually 27. A few are as young as 18, but many are at least 20.
Another girl listed as an underage mother is 14, but her attorney said in court she is not pregnant and does not have a child.
CPS officials in April raided a ranch run by the FLDS, contending that a widespread pattern of underage girls forced into marriages and sex put all the children - more than 440 - at risk. Those children, ranging from infants to teenagers, have been the subject this week of custody hearings designed to help parents learn what they must do to get their children back.
More mothers listed as underage are likely to be reclassified as adults in coming days.
CPS spokesmen did not immediately return a phone call from The Associated Press seeking comment.

Law suit time! Taxes in Texas will have to be going up to pay for this fiasco. Immunity does not apply if they were violating civil rights and they were.

Precisely!

I suspect we will hear the whiners saying that it shouldn't be up to the taxpayers to pay for 'them'.

On the contrary, if we aren't smart enough as a people to reel in our rogue government, than we certainly should pay.

If for nothing else than stupidity alone for empowering a quasi-government arm, such as we have with CPS.

I hope we have to pay them DEARLY!

So where is cubs girl and that dyann paca loud mouth. All so knowing that white 50 year old men are raping those poor little children. Well that is not the case, but it would be ok if it was blacks or mexicans in some inner city slum or barrio. It happens all the time in Guatemala, Africa, and Mexico, but they don't ever say anything about that. It is only where God fearing people are living and worshiping where and how they see fit that bothers those card carrying ACLU kool-aid drinkers

What is heartbreaking is that all the weepy moms crying for their babies shun their own sons who are than "dead" to them. To turn mother against young son goes against human nature and really brands these 'religious' groups as cults.
Then why doesn't CPS "SAVE" those "dead" sons?

I'll tell ya why, CPS doesn't want them either. CPS knows teenage boys don't get adopted. CPS would rather take their chances on 400 young children, than 1 TEENAGE BOY! No federal adoption subsidy money for teenage boys.
Adoption is the end goal of foster care and THAT'S where the money I$.

But ask yourself, shouldn't neglected and shunned teenage boys be just as worthy of "saving"? Why would CPS let THAT go on for the past 4 years? Something there IS PROOF OF?

Hypocrites!!!

I'm interested in some of the sources you check out. I'm tired of our media. They have people crucified way before they have set a date for trial.
