But the state, as laid out in the service plans, maintains that the couples and other FLDS parents "have chosen to be members of a community that appears to support systemic abuse of children." And CPS workers have the backing of Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who praised them last week for handling the complex case "professionally and compassionately."
The plans lay out a year-long process for being reunited with their children, identifying dozens of issues the parents must address. The plans warn that failure to cooperate could result in their children being placed in permanent state custody or put up for adoption

Of course the CPS maintains that position, whether they know it's true or not. Because if they don't, they will not be justified in recommending that the court maintain jurisdiction over the minors.
Even if they see proof otherwise, they will not point out the good, but only focus on the bad they may interpret or any lies that they are claiming as fact.

The Governor must maintain the position he is taking if he hopes to be reelected. But that may just backfire on him, the more truth that comes out.

And it's just as I said. The CPS has the children in the state's custody, so they have the leverage they need, the children being used as clubs that are wielded over the heads of the parents to make them jump through all the hoops they want them to.If they don't and more probably even if they
do, they will not have their children returned to them.

There will be a whole lot of happy adoptive families, making new homes for the parent's stolen children.

My friend came over today and we took 2 of my kids and her son and went to Chuck E Cheese for my son's birthday. He turned 11. Then we went out and shopped till we dropped. But I'm back now.

Many believe that this will benefit the polygamist so they can change the laws to their favor. Right now they can't get them on polygamy because they only marry one person in the eyes of the law and the rest are 'spiritual wives'(sorta like our shacking up) or they marry one civilly then divorce her then marry the next and divorce then...well you get the idea so the officials can't really get them for being married under the law to more and one person.

Wyler said he was at a meeting of FLDS leaders in the '90s at which Jeffs' father, Rulon Jeffs, then the church leader, urged the church to take a proposed deal from the state to abandon under-age marriages in exchange for amnesty for any past crimes involving under-age marriages.

Warren Jeffs, who soon took control of the sect, even before his father died, rejected the deal and defiantly went on a spree of performing under-age marriages, Wyler said.

Wyler said rape follows naturally in some cases where girls as young as 13 or 14 are married to older men. "I know of cases in this town where underage girls were married to a guy and she didn't want to do anything and he forced himself on her. It's not always that way. But that's going to happen anyplace you have underage marriages," said Wyler.

Wyler said that while he was in the church, he was bothered most by the underage marriages and, even worse, underage marriages by men to their stepdaughters.

Wyler said there are occasions when an FLDS man marries a woman who already has small children, raises them up to age 13 or 14 and then marries them. "They grow up calling this man dad and then have to have sex with him," Wyler said

I don't think I would like it if my husband had another wife...would you like it if your wife had another husband, I know my husband wouldn't like it? It would be hard.
