Instead of contacting PETA, why don't you have your group contact the local vet and the mayor's office to work out a deal. If this happens again, the police can take the animal to the vet and your group can pay the bill.

we would be more then happy to get a injured animal to the vet instead of being murdered.

Really? The city work out a deal with a vet? No, that would be too costly. There wouldn't be enough money left to give to Dr. Morthland.

The city doesn't have to work out anything,I don't believe there is a vet around that would refuse to treat an injured animal and save it if possible. They went to school and chose the profession hoping to make a decent living but I just don't believe they would turn an animal away.

I hate to say it but yes, they will. There is ONE that will. Walk in with an animal needing medical attention and say you cant afford much, he will suggest euthanasia. That will be $100, here's your dead dog, thanks and come again. If you can't afford that, sorry, buh-bye.

That animal hospital and Dr Solomon are nothing but money hungry jerks. They don't care about animals. If you want to save money go to Lick Creek clinic. Ten dollar shots and fifty bucks for a spay or neuter. Just an FYI as I realize the dog in reference is already dead.

Cops are not mean. They make the wrong decisions. Well they are trained not to, but still do.

No its not ok to jst take it upon yourself to shoot a dog. If Your not a vet, vet tech, vet asst etc You have no way of knowing the extent of injuries this dog may have had. It should have been taken to a vet to see if it could have been saved. I would like to know why no one except for a few law abiding citizans follow the leash law? If they would do this these things would be less likley to happen.

There was a lot less crime when he was chief. Especially drugs and burglaries. They actually solved crimes back then. They didn't just come write a report and then never be heard from again.
