It had been hit by a car, was severely injured and was dying, dumbasses. They put it out of its pain & misery. You should know the facts before you run your mouthes, dipshits. Ask the workers at Dominos. If you want to rant & rave about something, do it about all the inconsiderate idiots who let their dogs run loose to GET HIT to begin with & then about the wanna be race car drivers, who drive too fast in the first place & then hit animals and arent considerate enough to even stop... dumbasses

I agree with Ralph, if it was severly injured and in pain the officer did the right thing. I doubt the person that hit the dog stayed around to even check on it or maybe they left to get it food. No matter the dog is no longer suffering, so whatever officer it was Thank You, otherwise the dog would have probably laid there in pain until it passed from the injuries.

Ralph, do you feel big and macho calling people dumbasses and idiots repeatedly? I wasn't there so thats why I was asking. Were YOU there? You seem to know so much about it.
Man, sooo hostile.
I was NOT there, dumbass. I was at Casey's picking up a pizza when a Domino's employee who was there also picking up a pizza (explains a lot) came in & was talking about what had happened...

Maybe you dumbasses would be happy and content if the wfpd would have left the dog (that was hit....and suffering) to die and or get run over again? Any suggestions on how it could have been handled better/differently is appreciated

The humane thing to do would have been to take it to the vet and if it needed euthanized then it could have been done in a more humane way then shooting it in the head and holding it up by a pole until it died. I'm sure a vet would have euthanized it for free. If it could have been saved I'm sure someone would've adopted it once they heard the story.

I feel like we're watching Pee Wees Playhouse and the word of the day is.. wait for it... Lets let Pee Wee Ralph tell us!

So, you hear gossip in a damn gas station and it must be true, yet people on here are asking to know more and they are the idiot? Genius, Ralph.

I thinks Mr. Ralphie is a liar.

I'm in the kitchen and all of a sudden i get a call all i hear is crying. Kera walks in historical, by the time i could understand her. she tells me she found a dog who she could not catch so she picked up some dog food and went back to find it. when she gets back she see the west Frankfort police pulling the dog from behind the domino's dumpsters and holding it up with a hole in its head from where they shot it. they held it up by the pole until it did not move. to me it is worse than Animal cruelty, it did not once growl or get aggressive with her just would not come to her and here she see's them kill the poor thing. What the heck is wrong with this police officer how can they be allow to treat animals in this way. if it was a citizen it would be animal cruelty. Share this stop the animal killing...
heither quit starting drama as also you had no clue what was going on and still ran your mouth. you do make a valid point tho, we citizens do wish wfpd would do their job and get pill popping trash like you off the street AND NOT let you drag down two beautiful children. poor kids can't you go straight for them your past 30 grow up!
just a suggestion

Instead of shooting the dog were people could see it why couldn't they take the dog to a shelter and do things a different way? Did it make the police feel big and bad about shooting a dog in front of people? Somethings just should not be done in the open like that. There are plenty of shelters that the dog could have been taken to before jsut shooting it infront of people.

I commend Frankfort's finest for taking time out of their pants dropping schedule to murder an animal. Way to go WFPD! That's why the town loves you guys!

Dominoes is right across the street from the vet. Was it really that difficult to drive or walk 50 feet with the poor thing to get it some decent medical attention???

Maybe the dog would have not made it long enough to be delivered to the vet, waiting for the vet to arrive then for the vet to figure out who was going to pay him. This is the real world people sometimes things have to be done regardless of who has to do it, there are way more important things to be concerened about than someone putting a poor dog out of its misery!!!

may have took time for the vet to get there, but you are way off when you suggest they would worry about who was gonna pay before treating the dog, they .dog may have been injured beyond fixing, but holding the dog up in front of people"gawkers" or not was so wrong! For the owner of said dog, shame on you for not making sure your dog was secure.

Well maybe if people kept their dogs under control this would't happen. If a stray gets hurt in my area I am not going to look for it's owner,or spent my money to treat it. Just put it down the easy way.
