What does everyone think about the new and way overbuilt clinic?

There's a guy transporting people from the parking lot to the front door in a golf cart.

There's a woman standing inside the front door as a greeter.

There's always more employees there than patients.

Is this a good use of your tax money?

I've been told it is grant money; SO what...it is still taxpayers money!!!

What ever that works! I helped a 100 year old man be stable on his feet the other day. The golf cart transportation will help a few people. Rea clinic provides jobs. If it is grant money? It won't that long the tax payers will have their money back.

If it is grant money, I am thankful Christopher got some and is helping our people have jobs. I am thankful that our little town is prospering. I think it is wonderful.

Then start with the lazy bums who set on their butts doing nothing all day long, collecting welfare when they could actually be WORKING! Except that word is a foreign concept to some people! At least the clinic is something positive!!

Pretty typical liberal comments. The government should provide jobs while going deeply in debt. Par for the course for good ole boy southern Illinois.

The amount of lazy bums around our city is proportionate to the amount of liberals who allow it by example!

I am sure you would have rather the money to have went to Chicago. I say YES, some money needed down here for our Southern Illinois people to get jobs. Yes. they are in debt, but they keep spending mostly up north. It is about time they gave the poorer part of the state some money!

We didnt need a new clinic, the old one is still good. What we really needed was new roads. Our town is not prospering, have you been out of Franklin County in your life? lol. Anyhow, the new clinic is nice and friendly, but the roads are in desperate need of repair and make the whole town look like the ghetto. Plus, its not good on tires, or wear and tear on vehicles. Its not safe either. Those roads should have been a priority.

You call that roadwork? LOL, it looks like shit. Patching here and there aint what I call road work. That didnt cost a fraction of what the new clinic cost. I seen the four way and the outside of town, as far as the roads in town. I would not drive over 150 pot holes and take the chance of damaging my vehicle. Its the worst in all the counties. Check out Perry and Jackson Counties road work and we will talk about road work. LOL

That is your tax dollars at work. If you want better roads maybe they can take more money out of YOUR paycheck. They take enough out of mine. Grant money was used for the Clinic, another kind of funding.

I dont live in that shithole. You probably dont mind because you pay very little taxes and live off the state and get everything for free. Most people there do. I wouldnt mind to pay more taxes for better roads, atleast I pay taxes and I'd like to see them being used for something. I didnt buy a brand new vehicle so I could hit 250 potholes when I drive through there. What a mess.

Yeah the building is a little much but that clinic helps a lot of people who have jobs but can't afford insurance. They did receive a grant and also have at least 15 other clinics besides the one in Christopher. So your tax money has nothing to do with that clinic. If your worried about the roads then you need to go talk to the mayor!! There is a guy who drives a cart to help the older people that need it. The greeter is a very sweet lady who also helps patients fill out paperwork if they need it. You apparently have not been out there because the waiting room is always packed! To help those who really need it not just the lazy stinky fat asses who are on welfare & don't work. And if you want a job just fill out an app!! Go to crhpc.org . Just hope u can pass a drug test!!!

What kind of person are you to begrudge sick people a little extra help? Beware you could end up like them one of these days and someone might say the same thing about you!!
