Candy cane lane need to hang it up. It has run it's course.....the decorations or whatever you want to call then look terrible. With all the money Murphy takes in each year you would think he would either paint the current ones or make new. Makes you wonder what he is doing with all the money he is taking in????? It is trashy and embarrassing for our little town.

How rude. I love taking my children to candy cane lane every year. I think its very beautiful and fun for the kids to look at all the lights and decorations. I say keep up the good work, and dont listen to negative people. My family loves going thru there every year.

Since the city is picking up most if the electric bill for Murphy then he needs to be turning the donations he collects to the city. And before anyone says he needs to keep the money for what he does.... Stop. It is his choice to decorate along with the others that live there. So that cost should be their responsibility not the city

Hey? I do give back to the city. I bring joy to many childrenses faces. And to the one that said I should paint and redo my decorations. School budget cuts have limited the amount of projects the kids can do so you won't see much new on candy cane lane this year.

I go for that; and it's a shame that some boobs have to tear up and destroy what other people enjoy. I've only been a few times, but they're beautiful decorations. The JOY in Christmas is not the receiving, but the Giving.

We LOVE CANDY CANE LANE! I am proud to tell my boys that I was once a party of it and that some of my work is still displayed.bi only hope they will be able to participate someday and that they will still have Mr. Murphy around as an art instructor. They will love him as much as I did. If you don't like it..don't go!

How do you know the childrens faces are joyful. You sit in the back of your warm house while school kids collect money for you and your drunk wife. Do you also watch them change clothes in your spare bedroom? Can anyone say Penn State?

The people across the street from Mr. Murphy, that always does the food drive, has yellow bows on their trees instead of Christmas bows. What is that about?

They are super nice people. The yellow ribbons mean they have a soldier in a war zone. Probably Iraq or somewhere. I think they leave them up until the soldier comes home.

The school (us as tax payers) pay for the supplies. The city paid for the pole and his electric for the month of December. This came from the horses mouth, stupid. He is self centered and stole the idea from the orginal founders of Candy Cane Lane. He called his neighbors thieves because they collected for Toys for Tots and the local food pantry. He said they were stealing money from him. Candy Cane Lane was not even started by him but everybody is so discussed by him they quit decorating. It is a money making business for him and it has nothing to do with Christmas. Christmas is the celebration of Christs birthday, not a tribute to Michey mouse.

Gotta bitch about something, don't we? Don't like it, don't go...and I wish people would have a dictionary handy before trying to rip up someone's reputation. You want to belittle people on here, yet can't spell some basic 4th grade vocabulary...Keep up the good work, Murph! My kids love Candy Cane Lane :)

Thank you Elf for your understanding of the yellow ribbons. That happens to be my house and my cousin is in Kuwait and will be there quite a while, hence the yellow bows on the trees which will NOT come down until he comes home safely.

On that note we are also holding our 4th annual food drive to help those locally who can't afford Christmas dinner or food in general, so please look for the shopping cart and donate whatever you can to help those in need. Thank you!

Jane....get a life! If you want to be that critical about grammar and spelling instead of realizing the reality of Murphy using Candy Cane Lane to put money in his own pocket you need to start a new thread. Your kids may enjoy it but trust me...so does Murphy because it puts thousands of tax free dollars in his pocket every year.
