The United Methodist Church, First Baptist, First Christian, Immanuel Baptist, North Benton Baptist, First Freewill Baptist and Harmony Baptist churches-- all in Benton-- are very open, friendly and welcoming congregations with excellent pastors and church boards. I personally attend First Christan Church, but my wife and I have visited all of the others and were made to feel very welcome at all of them.

Hope this helps.

Are you saying that the 7 people who posted in this thread before you did make cruel remarks, or are you painting with an even broader brush and saying that all people making cruel remarks are churchgoers?

I think he is saying that most people on this site talk negative about others (mildly putting it), and he is surprised that there are people on this site claiming to be Christians (or other) I for one do look here occasionally, but as a mother, looking out for my kids, whom have had their names slandered here in the past, not as a nosey gossiper.

Read and study the Bible. If any church teaches anything contrary to it, leave and find another. In every church just as anywhere you might go, there may be trouble makers. Take the time to listen to God, how to handle them. May God give you the discernment to choose wisely. If you seek, you shall find, If you knock, it shall be answered. God bless.

I think if you are going to go to church, it's important to remember that no church and no one person is going to teach exactly how you think the bible or anything else should be taught. I don't know which churches are corrupt, and which ones aren't, but I am sure there are good ones out there if you just take the time to look. The only way to really find out what you like best is to just go there and try it out. Sure, you may waste your time at one or another, but if you hadn't went there, you wouldn't know.

My advice: find a church that teaches from the Bible. Avoid the church that supports division between a child and parent "in the name of God" because one of its members is a lying sack of shit. Just my advice.

First Baptist Church on S. Main in Benton is a Bible-based, Christ-centered, New Testament church. When I first moved here, I looked around and visited many different churches. While I liked several of them, I found FBC to be the best fit for me. The congregation is very friendly, the pastor preaches and teaches sound, Christian doctrine, and the church is very active in ministering to the poor, widows and orphans and those who feel abandonded/hopeless or are otherwise oppressed.

I would recommend visiting and seeing for yourself. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Avoid any church that requires you or ask you to become a member.
Non denominational churches are always more true to the Bible.

Which church does William stark go to? Id like to know. This guy said on Facebook that 80-90% of people that go to church aren't saved. He said that was a scary statistic. He said he was taught that once some FAITH program teachings are learned that the enlightened learner should start ministering in his own church first, presumably to save the 80% there that only think they are saved, but aren't according to Williams gospel. As we all know, William walks a righteous path. Very Christ like. Look what a success he has been as a husband. He HATES those sin filled gays. I wonder how he feels about adulterers? I wonder if those unsaved sinners in his church could ever possibly live up to the example he sets in the name of Christ our lord? Anyway, that's why I'd like to know what church he attends. So I can go there and have my soul judged by him. I feel saved, but can't be sure until he confirms it for me.

Would anyone's church welcome a Muslim interested in hearing the prospective of God from a Christian point of view?
