It's really sad all this crap on here! I wish people would come together as Christians! We r a village. It takes a village to raise a child. Children these days need not just their parents but the society to stir them in the right direction. Instead we have drug sellers, people bashing people, liars, thieves, dishonest people, u could go on! There r bad cops, good cops, ones that turn the other cheek so forth, it's the truth as well as numerous residents in west Frankfort. I honestly wish this town would quit ! We all care about our children and god wants us to care about each other as well. Our city is not fair to any of us. Overcharging, rules , stupid regulations. It's out for their own best benefit. It sickens me that people r so cruel. I'll be glad when god comes! We will all be judged, and then will know who is wrong! Stop judging people! Everybody! You aren't perfect! Maybe some people need a lending ear, a hand, advice a kind word, a hug! Love! Parents, teachers, residents, attorneys, cops! So forth- do what you think god wants you to do, don't JUDGE! It's not your place! Somebody start just with a I love you and I'm here if you need someone! This is just so sad! ;(

You people need to realize that you don't have to believe in a god or be christian to have morals or be good people.

I believe in good and kindness and the earth and the science behind it. Humans are not born christian or islamic or any other religion, its taught and indoctrinated and forced upon the young. Do you think people cannot be good people without being christian???

Look around. PPL are whatever they choose to be. Why narrow it down to religion? PPL are taught and indoctrinated in many different ways. Please explain your point?

you just made my point for me... ppl are what they choose to be. Which says to me that you're in agreement that ppl aren't born in any religion. Anyone who raises their their child to believe what they believe, whether it be hate, religion, racism, etc, they are indoctrinating those children to believe what they do.. instead of educating them and letting them make their own life decisions. That good enough for you, or shall I continue?

Wow. Are you attempting to say everyone buys into how they are raised? I feel sorry for you. What about free will. You suggest nobody has a mind of their own and can determine their own journey? You narrowed your perspective to religion. Pegged it as the problem. Religion isn't the problem. Its ignorance. Are you aware there are just as many evil believers as non believers?

once again you've made my point for me... I suggested nothing if the kind. However, when people are raised to believe there is only one option, then theyre taught nothing else except what is "wrong" you seem angry and hostile over this subject so maybe you should look at yourself and where you stand. I'm very educated and smart and confident in my own beliefs that I don't need to project my beliefs onto anyone.. especially on a forum such as this. Religion is a bullshit fairytail and you can have it.:)

The beauty is..Everyone is free to choose whatever belief they want/like. Make no mistake...everyone believes in something. God the universe whatever. Everybody serves something. There was no point for you to call religion bullshit other than your obvious perceived notion it's somehow a threat to you.~shrug Good luck!

You people might want to cover that ignorance you're showing. Everyone does have the ability to choose, it's just too bad that by the time they're old old enough to make decisions for themselves their heads are already filled with mythology. And there are A LOT of complete idiots who believe there is only one option.... living in southern Illinois makes that painfully obvious. I am also not threatened by anyone or anything, that is one of the great things about being a non believer. Thanks, have a great day.

The Bible tells us, "God is love". It doesn't say He is loving, it says He IS love. As humans, we have a hard time truly grasping that concept, because every form of love we have ever experienced has, at one time, ended in tragedy. But God's love never fails! The Bible also tells us, "He that does not love, does not know God, for God is love". Without God, we are incapable of loving in a true, selfless form of love; I guess one exception would be that we love ourselves.

Because of God's love for us, he gives us free will. We can choose to love Him, or choose NOT to love Him. He never forces Himself upon us. However, by reading His book, He tells us what He wishes for us. "For God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." Look around you and see that this world is crumbling on every side. Mankind cannot continue as it is, and one day this world will be cleansed from sin. Every human has the choice to either be a part of that cleansing, or be delivered from it; the choice is yours. But God begs us to make the RIGHT choice; "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;" (Bible references available upon request)

In the Bible, you can find what you are looking for. If you are looking for a God filled with anger, violence and vengeance, you can find him. If you look for a God of compassion, love and mercy, you can find Him too. The bottom line is, which attributes are displayed more often? Jesus said, "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father." The life of Jesus was one of service, compassion, kindness and truth. THAT'S who God REALLY is! Blessings.

By your own admission...Yes,there are a lot of idiots who believe there is only one option. And so far you've put yourself in that group. It matters not if you are religious or not. You have a chip on your shoulder. Try showing understanding and respect for PPL who believe differently from you. You will be much happier. Examine what you fear.
