Chritopher lies and says that their population of special ed students are high so the kids dont take the same tests as everyone else....which in turn makes ces scores look better. ever heard of IAA? look at the percentage of students at ces who take that compared to other local schools. christopher needs busted on this. richtard can only cover this up for so long.
richard will eventually get busted and deserves to. this is not the only thing he has done.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the main reason why Christopher's scores are so low is that they dont discredit the Special Education/Learning Disorder/Behavior Disorder students scores. Every student at Christopher takes the same test where other schools wont allow it. Christopher is being fair and not discriminating and letting every student participate and counting their scores.
Maybe "Amazed" should check into the facts before criticizing the school and the teachers.
Those 'special' students also receive help taking the standardized tests from their teachers. Some are even given the answers. Some even score higher than the students who don't have problems learning. Go figure. The rest of the students do not. Christopher high school students STRUGGLE in college. Researched & documented FACT.

They all have their little club of friends and family. Jobs are justified and allocated according to the Karla's, Keith's and richtards whims.

& yes it has been proven that their kids entering college have major problems.

well at least moreland will leave with a $70k+ retirement.

I have one of the 'special' students and sadly he will never amount to much in life. The main reason is because we could get the help he need from the school. All they wanted to do was hold meetings. His tests now show he is less than 1st grade on reading, comp, and math. Here's the thing, he is 10 yrs old. What "The Truth Wrote" wrote is true, they give students the answers instead of teaching. I am sure you will hear about me this year, I will make the news because I am fed up with CES. This parent will be screaming for help. I am holding CES responsible for throwing my child to the wolves.

I have a few questions and conerns about this. First all, you can get help from the school speech, occupational and phyical therapy, specialized programs, ideas about how to help your son learn. These are IEP meetings, and if your son ws not responding or learning from the methods put into his IEP then they were having meetings to revize his IEP plan. The parent knows the child better than anyone else. Your son is 10 years old and on a first grade level, my question is this....did you attend thse meetings? You should have been at every one of them. I understand the frustration, but most likely your son had a disability before he attended CES and not after he attended CES. I can see your point in wanting him to have the best education, but these are teachers, not God. Illinios is in debt and the school funds are low. If you have concerns, you should talk to the board or write the state representative about this matter. I tend to think christopher schoos get neglected, the school, staff and students because of lack of funds. There are some great teachers up there and if you work with them, together you can help your son learn. He may learn a different way then his peers, and he may be behind, but tht doesnt mean he will never amount to nothing. Those are your words about him, not theirs. Your suppose to be his biggest advocate and supporter.

We have attended every meeting and we have asked for help. We have even called meetings. Those erigant women that do the IEP's have literally told us they know of nothing else to do that he just has a learning disability and there is no more they can do. After years of waiting and being lied to about your child tell me you wouldn't come unglued. I know this pathetic state is beyond broke and schools are underfunded by 65% but do not lie to me. By the grace of God we were able to get him in a testing program through SIU and still waiting on results. Till then we can not move forward. Yes there are great teachers at CES but there are also there just for the money. I know they are not God but he needs one on one to learn and they refuse to do so. If Christopher consolidates then there will be no hope. After consolidation many fall in the cracks. Oh and we have talked to the board and they just "assure" us everything is being done that can be. Well I say BS! We are his biggest supporter, he doesn't hear negative from us but reality is if he can not read, if can not comprehend simple tasks and if he can not figure simple things out on his own then yes he will not amount to much. We both know this and it breaks our hearts. It's pisses us off so much to know that all we have done these past 5 yrs is piss in the wind. And if I want to "blame" someone it is our politicians.

The school has money to waste on the roof repair boondoggle. There is no way that the roof could not have been repaired on time. Another smoke screen for hidden agendas!

very sad.

You have lost your mind. You have no idea how bad that damage was to the school. There was 3 inches of water in each room. Tiles on the floor and it was ripped to shreds. How can you make a statement when you have no idea how bad it was. They tried to start school on time but they had to redo the whole wing.

dear Ppl are so dumb:

an analogy would be about the boy who cried wolf.

past track record shows hidden agendas regarding everything done by the school board and administration. re. the use or misuse of taxpayers money.

The hidden agenda is this. I found out that they had planned a remodel at that end of the school in the future. So they figured since the roof need repair and the class rooms were damaged from the rain it would be easier to go ahead and remodel. Their plans are to be done in maybe two years.
