Has anyone else noticed an increase in crime in Bithlo? As a resident, I have noticed a lot of vagrants hanging out behind the Citgo gas station. Also in the duplex directly behind the store, there are people sleeping in vehicles. I have also witnessed drug deals taking place at this house. I have notified code enforcement and the police department several times, but have seen no changes.
What about the prostitutes that are walking up and down 6th street and SR 50? We as residents of Bithlo need to come together and put an end to this. Report suspicious activity to the police department. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

theft has been a bigger issue for me. I have reported every theft from my property to the police and everytime they act like it is to be expected because of where I live. I have noticed that there always seems to be people out in front of the Citgo though at all times of the night

Thats so weird I was looking at that place the other day & thinking the same things. Since you need 75% of residents to get a neighborhood watch system, which will never happen out here, how about old fashion this is my meighborhood & I'm tired of your nastiness!! Look up that duplex on ocpa & it shows the owners are listed elsewhere. If they can sit on corner then why can't we sit & watch them? There are other ideas as well.

The owner is listed in the complex of Rosemont Green its some sort of golf complex, all you do is take the address and google it! but of course it needs to be determined that the duplex is a problem. there are many more of course.

When the Sheriff deputies tell us that "we don't have time for zero tolerance" on crime in Bithlo,it's time for a change. Think those non-resident despots who control the park and "community" center care? Think again. They only worry about money. Stop supporting them and watch the positive changes come.Self government works best here. Where are you from?

I do not think the community center is responsible for the increase in crime. But I do think the churches in the area giving away free food are enabling the scum bags to loiter. Also, the Citgo gas station is responsible for the loitering. We as citizens need to come together to stop this problem.

I am from Orlando; but why does that matter? Let's work as a community to take control of this situation, instead of always trying to work against each other.

Why worry about such minor issue as the park? When we have all these drug dealers, thieves, and sexual offenders that live in Bithlo. I have a sexual offender that lives on my street and I am sure if you search the registered sexual offenders you will see you have one that lives on your street in Bithlo. There are over 50 of them in Bithlo.

You never hear Cory Goodman or Mayor Jacobs complain about all the crime here in Bithlo. Why do we not have more street lights and sidewalks to scare off all these criminals that hide in the dark?

There is also a sexual offender that lives in the woods behind Citgo. Look it up on the Florida Sexual Predators search online. His address shows: in the woods near 600 4th Street in Bithlo.
Our children get on and off the school bus near the woods he is living in. That is scary!!!!

I agree but not with the streetlights and sidewalks. because its a false security with the lights as those idiots would just use them to do better deals and sidewalks for them to get around easier. Look at heavier crime areas in town and you will find all those nice convenience and security of town. Oh if I wanted those things I would not have moved out here! I think something can be done but does anyone have the backbone? We will see.

I am not racist but when the Klan had a larger pesence out here a lot of this was non issue. The county nor any outsiders give a sh*t about what goes on here. There is a stigma attatched to the name bithlo, look at any other community with a little leauge and the community name is used for the leauge...... not here "east orange". I am afraid for my daughter to play outside on Thursday nights because the ugo/ church dinner which brings all the creeps out! I long for the days of my bithlo childhood things were handled internaly and crime was no where as bad. Ocso has no presence out here and the dealers and hoods take advantage.

The non-resident staff in Bithlo park are criminals of the worst kind! They refuse Bithlo residents the opportunity to self govern ourselves in OUR community center. Would they attempt this crime in christmas Community center? HA!Not my fault. Blame the invading outsiders.

Oh Possums, you are not capable of governing anything. That's why your little hamlet is in such a state. Just look at it, it is filthy and mostly olr trailers. No one of quality wants to live there. Christmas is up and coming. Beautiful homes and a population with some education and class.Don't know what to tell you possums. Orlando don't want you and Christmas won't have you. Guess you should just close up shop.

At least one of us (you) believes that but you probably still believe in the tooth fairy too.Sounds like you're just angry and frustrated by being told what to do by that wind bag Bobby beagles. HA HA loser! You deserve to be his punk!Let him try that in bithlo and see the fur fly! I bet you won't. I know he won't!Gee can you tell me why I was elected to represent Christmas on Orange County community action Board when Beagle could not even get nominated? Figure it out and apologize when ya do!

First of all we heard he didn't even want it. Second of all, no body else did either, so that left you to represent the redneck population in east Orange. I don't think Bobby would stoop so low as to make himself available to Bithlo (the nightmare before Christmas.) Bask in your self proclaimed glory that no one else wanted.

The way he cried like a spoiled little punk when he couldn't get nominated proves you are wrong, yet again, but that doesn't suprise anyone who knows more than you about east Orange and the "good ole boys" you worship.
Maybe it's time to support Good Men.

We need some good ole boys around here to deal with the crackheads & other trash moving in. Decent people minding thier own business is one thing but letting trash to dominate is getting old.

You must be smoking crack! What is old is your kind of thinking and supporting a fat fool like Dog boy Beagle.
Guess you are still mad about Segal not winning the Mayor seat with Beagles money and support. Face it. Cory Goodman supports winners like Mayor Jacobs and has a proven track record of doing what needs to be done without "good ole boy" permission. No wonder they are scared of the guy!Keep scaring them with courage Cory! Bithlo supports you for supporting us!

You all sound like school kids in a strugle for popularity! The issues in bithlo will never be solved through name calling and finger pointing. We as a community need to stand together and stand up for what's right. Not be little one another and fight for power of a community no one outside of and most of who live in do not care about. It saddens me to read the posts of adults sound so chilldish. Why don't we use our time and abilitys to come up with solutions instead of insulting one another.

Someone on the Southside of the park shoots their gun too. I have not been able to pinpoint it though because they only shoot one round at a time.
