Estranged husband of ex-Jourdanton mayor guilty of murder

Jurors deliberated for about 61 2 hours Friday before finding James Franklin Reece guilty of murder in the November 2004 beating death of his elderly neighbor.

Thank God its over and we can all now rest in peace knowing that James Reece is in jail, behind bars, and isolated away from society!! And the only justice that wasn't served was that this SOB didn't get life!! I hope he becomes someone prison bitch and gets his what he deserves, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth! Ms. Evans now you may rest in peace!!

Is your name SOS or GOD? You certainly are a very judgmental person. I don't know these people personally but have read everything and unless you are the Mayor, or you were there, I think you should think twice in the future before opening your mouth. She knows if she's guilty or not...and if she is and has to live with that, she will deserve the mental torture she receives. Seems to me the jury wasn't so sure. Why else would they have given a man they convict of murder 15 years knowing he would only have to serve half of that with good behavior. I think the case should be appealed. I don't think the whole truth is out and something's rotten in the state of Denmark...so they say.

The bitch was guilty and i knew it when i looked in her eyes days after the murder happened so all of u who like to defend her are really confused in life.
