State asks to set aside Va Tech verdict

RICHMOND, Va. - The state is asking a judge to set aside a negligence verdict by jurors who concluded Virginia Tech officials waited too long to alert the campus of the first shootings in the April 16, 2007, campus massacre that left 33 dead.

The families knew by law, as informed by their lawyers, the $$$ limit was $100,000.

The state should pay the families the $100,000 each and be done with it.

Most people agree with the jury that Tech screwed the pooch on the notification!
