Do teens need a curfew at the mall?

The one thing that annoys me, is you walk into that mall and it's past a certain "time" and if you don't look 18 or whateve you get IDed are you kidding me? I'm 24 and still get asked for my ID, thats just a pain in the butt.

I agree that there should be a curfew at the mall.I understand that teens like to go to the arcade and the movies.The problem with that is, not all teens are at the movies or the arcade. They are wandering through the mall creating attention upon themselves.The cursing and disrespect is appaling. I realize that this does not apply to all teenagers. It's unfortunate that some make it bad for everyone else.

Some teenagers are saying they will go to the streets if they can't hang out in the mall. A mentality like that surely displays ones imaturity.It is also your parents responsibilty to have you involved in a an activity to keep you busy.Where are your parents concerning this issue? The mall is designed to shop and entertain with movies and such.It not a hang out,it's not a club or a rec.center. I would not feel comfortable dropping my teen off at the mall for hours on end.Teens it's not entirely your fault.The supervisions lies on your parents shoulders not the mall.Perhaps you all could talk to your parents and ask them to get you all involved in a constructive activity.Viewing some of these posts,it appears as english should be your past time recreation.If you are going to rally for your cause,please do so in a intelligent mature manner.Presentation is half the battle.Someone may here you if you present yourself in a correct manner.

I remember back when I was younger, my parents would drop me off at the mall. It is a hangout for teens in colonial heights(of course its gotten a lot worse in the past few years), but the thing about colonial heights is they don't have a rec center so there isn't really any place for teens to go, or many things to do.

It's unforunate that the teens have no place to go other than the mall.Have the parents in the city taken this to your city counsel? Does the city have the budget for a Rec.center?

Kids you will reap what you sow.When you are anywhere,be it the mall or at Happys,and you see one of your peers misbehaving,step up and ask them to act like a adult and they will be treated like one.If you just laugh it off or join in the so called fun then you are part of the problem.I agree that all of you are not to blaim but all of you pay the price for a few that are the problem.Look at your friends in school,Ill bet the ones that are causing problems there are the same ones keeping you out of the mall.Police yourselves and let the bad apples in your schools know that their actions are not cute anymore and that they are the ones stomping on your freedom at the mall.I say good luck to the ones of you that are decent and feel pity for the ones causing the pain

Southpark mall is a ghetto mall. The worst thing that happened is that it was put on the Petersburg Bus route. A curfew would not be necessary if it were not for the retards, underage or not, roaming around causing trouble. So all of you kids who are pissed about the curfew, blame your neighbors.
