You know, Jaba may be right. After all, Dilly did beat Coach Armstrong when he was in Marianna both years.

That's right you can't forget the ones from the class of 09 that were right there with you the two times you went to the playoffs. Give Armstrong a chance. But we do love you Dilly.

I'm sure Dilly and some of his former assistants appreciate your comments.

I had a crush on Dilly so I'm keeping up with the Webbs. Jeff is at Fleming Island High School in Orange Park, FL. Of course, he is winning. Dilly is in Crestview coaching with Matt Bronson. Of course, the Bulldogs are winning. Sighhhhh.

This must be a record...I talked to someone who was on Chipley's undefeated Team 0f 1953, he said he could never remember anything close to a winless season...for or aft. 1953 had wins over Milton, Bay High, Pace and now we can't even beat Vernon this is sad.

The problem is the culture that has developed at the school. The Tiger 100 rules. "Academics" are emphasized over athletics. Some there don't realize that a winning sports program translates into pride in academics as well. Excellence is important, and it breeds more excellence. Clearly there is a leadership gap. Just how many principals has the school had in the last 10 years. Ummmm,Register, Dixon, French (last time we did well academically and athletically was under Mr. French), Williams, Hicks, Peel, Williams, Taylor, Williams. What is wrong with this picture?

You are right, the problem is the culture that has developed in our schools. Only it begins much sooner than high school. I went to see a friends children play tee-ball last year. My son asked, "Who's winning?" Well, you see they don't keep score at such things, because EVERYONE'S a winner. Let's don't hurt little Johnny's feelings by letting him realize that he didn't win at something. Let's give every kid a trophy. The same principle applies at most beauty pageants these days as well. Kids need to learn early on that sometimes life just sucks! Not everyone is the same. Not everyone wins all the time. If kids learned this early on, they would want to strive to earn that trophy/award/win. But since they all get a trophy anyway, and no body loses, they have nothing to strive to attain.

I dont have ties to chs but i do know a little football and Armstrong is the best coach chipley has had in long time. webb beat him once, not twice, but with twice the tallent in a close scorefest.(be honest chipley was loaded with skilled players that year, don't kid yourself). whats wrong with you people and negative talk. Armstrong is winner and if everbody will just let him coach things will start to change. It might be a 2,3,4,5, win season this year who knows but he will get rid of all that cancer that has not been dealt with in the not so distant past. in all the crazy uneducated comments i have read from chipley fans over the last couple of years i never posted anything until now. love it, hate it, whatever, its the truth.
p.s. run the rock and play your best 11 on defense

marianna has done ok because armstrong did a good job and more importantly they have scheduled much smaller schools,(cottondale, graceville ,blountstown) again this is fact not opinion. Chipley should win some games because of the easy teams on the schedule. They will beat cottondale, macclay, and hopefully a couple of others. As you stated getreal, it takes time and given time armstrong will do ok. Still waiting for you to post armstrong's record at walton, getreal.

NHS Fan - Maybe you should state his record at Walton since you know it and then state your own record......

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Pisces

You're lacking in energy and resources today, which will soon slow you down and make you feel as though you're wading through treacle. The only way to cope is to have as many breaks as possible, and not to set yourself impossible goals that you could never hope to meet. You're also very susceptible to the criticisms or put-downs of others, but do your best to ignore them.
