Well if these churches are going to complain about our community wanting to get slots to increase the revenue in Washington County and steal vote yes signs and raise such a uproar We the community need to start to taxing the churches the money we would receive just from all the churches just in taxes would help out a lot. I have never heard of a church giving out scholarships to the community key word the community not a relative of the church

There is no reason why a church should not pay taxes, someone start a movement, I'm sure Tallahassee will see this as revenue from "all" the churches in Florida. What say ye now Mr Gay?

True enough, the church is not going to give out jobs or feed the mouths of our children but, what do they care? They have money. They don't give a crap about anyone else.

Our founding fathers, established this republic to be free of any religion, a government separate of religion where people could be free to worship as they wish without the belief of others being imposed upon them whether they be Muslim, Jew, Christian or whatever.

This mess with the Baptist and Assembly of God churches (and others) in Washington County getting so activly involved so as to donate such large sums of money to defeat the Ebro Slots is a clear effort of them to impose their belief on others.
The churches would be best served to practice their religion and stay out of politics, they might then see their membership stop declining.

If churches are donating large sums of money to defeat slot, then they have too much untaxed money to spend. Tallahassee should tax churches.

Right now churches are not taxed, does not mean in the future they may, if enough pressure is put on Congressmen of Florida.

This kind of post is why I have changed my mind about voting YES. I am a Christan, go to a Baptist church and up until now had decided to vote YES. But the nastier these posts get, the more name calling thats happening and the more posts that are started that are down right nasty have made me change my mind. I will now vote No. I dont want to vote like those of you on here who are so mean and hateful. Thanks but no thanks. I will side with the churches.
I know for sure

good for you. Its not going to pass anyway. if it does on county level, sate will shut it down each weekend. Thanks for your support.(not that I'm agains slots, but I would rather see Hess's get fed up and sell out due to lack of suport) They are not in it for the fight reasons.
