Traveling on Chino Ave on our way home last night, my Daughter and I saw this tow truck speeding away from three police vehicles at around 9:00PM or just after.(a tow truck...?!!?!?) They all turned left on Chino Hills Parkway, which happened to be the way we were going as well, although we waited until they all passed. By the time we got to Grand Ave there had been an accident. It didn't appear that anyone was injured as I didn't see anyone in the car and there were no emergency vehicles there but the car that was hit was totaled from the back...unbelievable! It led me to wonder why a two truck driver would be evading the police unless they had stolen the vehicle??? It didn't look the like chase ended there though because the two truck was no where in sight. Curious to know if anyone else saw this?

Ah ha! Just found it on another page. It WAS a stolen tow truck... That's the only thing that made sense to me since tow truck drivers out there are generally working. Why would any jeopardize job and safety in a police pursuit... Here's what I found.(copied below) It says, "the tow truck had a vehicle in tow" but there wasn't one attached when it went passed us...so not sure where that went?!? I guess the chase DID end there though since it says the truck went off the embankment. That would explain why there was activity where it likely went down, although I dismissed it at the time since it was not visible...and thought, "Nah, it couldn't have gone over..." But I guess it did! The thought crossed my mind at the time but I didn't think much more about it and continued driving straight past. My Daughter pointed out right away that there was a ton of glass in the street...Naturally, I was curious today and wondered if there was anything reported on it...guess so.

Thanks for sharing! I didn't see it on the news media. I live behind English Springs Park and was coming home when I saw Chino PD arresting a male.
