Water conservation efforts paying off

Inland Valley residents' efforts to reduce water use this summer got some relatively high marks from water companies and cities.

And the economy will bounce back. Government spending created many jobs in the Great Depression, Hoover Dam for example. Some paint that as socialism, others as a wise public investment.

I like the checkpoint. But the state shouldn't have to pay for it. Instead the drivers should be assessed a tax as they go through.
